While I repost news stories, I don’t share in the extreme sentiments of many of the speakers/posters. I share for their news value only, credible news being scarce in many circumstances, not because I share their perspective, which I probably don’t.
I am adding to this post over the day. I will advance its time when I do.

There is clearly an ongoing operation to sow discord, targeted at Trump’s cabinet.
Hegseth, Waltz, Bondi, now RFK Jr., not to mention all the attacks on Elon and Tesla.
If you think this is organic, you are mistaken. This is coordinated.
The Deep State are fighting back. Their backs are against the wall and their operation is being exposed. They are going to throw anything and everything against the wall, hoping that something sticks, in an attempt to derail Trump and his administration.
And to make matters worse, much of this hysteria is being amplified by people who are perceived to be in our own camp, in exchange for clicks…
Stay frosty. There is lots of disinformation and smear campaigns in the air, and all of it is designed to destabilize and sow discord amongst Trump’s administration, in a last ditch effort to prevent him from succeeding in his mission of “obliterating the Deep State”.
Stay the course.

The Old Legacy News Services are Not Going to Give You Much

I know that there are some of my friends who know very little about the state of what is happening in Ukraine and Russia during the Russo-Ukraine War, but I have to tell you that the old legacy news services are not going to give you much and you will not get a sense of what is happening on a daily basis for a couple of reasons. First, they are choosing not to cover most of the things happening, even though there are things that are happening that are surprising and inspiring for those who favor democracies. Another is the inherent bias in legacy news and where they get their news from, like wire services such as AP, Reuters, etc.
In the words of one very good video blogger who does cover that war, Jake Broe, “If you still get news in the old way from cable, newspapers, magazines, radio, whatever, you’re living in the past.” I really believe this is so because not only is there a serious lack of information from Ukraine, as opposed to Russia, but what does get reported is always late. I see reports of information arriving in legacy news sources days later than what is covered by various bloggers. Like it or not, social media based news, be it, X (Twitter), Tiktok, Facebook, Instagram, Truth Social, Substack, Reddit, Linked In, Threads, Bluesky or YouTube is there first. Generally they are pretty accurate and a lot more timely.
Also there is a complete lack of information about the changes that are happening in how wars are fought. There is a vary good reason that governments in the Gulf States are hiring Ukraine to teach them how to stop drone attacks in a cost effective manner and buying the hardware from them to help them to do so. Ukraine has been engaged in an active military conflict at least since 2022 and they would not still be actively resisting and now beginning to turn the tide against Russia if they had not been innovative enough to figure out how to counter an enemy that outnumbers them in military personnel by at least 3 to 1.
During the course of the war the scenario has changed to the point where drones are the primary offensive, and to some extent defensive, weapon. Ukraine has developed drones and drone warfare because there is no way for them to compete against Russia in the number of military personnel.
There is a reason why, during this war, we have seen the first ever sinking of a submarine, an armed military helicopter and a front line fighter aircraft by a drone. There is a reason why, over the course of any war, that new technologies and strategies are developed, just as they have been going back millennia.
You have to figure out how to counter a more powerful opponent or you lose and/or cease to exist. It doesn’t matter if you are using clubs, spears, shields, swords, bows and arrow, siege engines, cavalry, firearms, rockets, airplanes, bombs, armored vehicles, helicopters, missiles, biological or chemical agents, or unmanned vehicles, there will always be something that will be devised to overcome them.
