Isn’t it always something?
It’d be awesome if I could turn the world situation into a comedy routine, but there’s just no way to make it funny right now. There really is always something, though. We’re such a small team, and sometimes it feels like we’re being taken out of commission one by one. (Which perspective may be born from the past two years that I’ve had personally.) Karen’s vision hasn’t improved enough yet for her to step back into handling the Hope Chest side of things, and now Steve has been effectively sidelined by a really nasty breach into his personal cyber spaces.
So here I am—the last one standing—keeping our monthly appeal going.
Honestly, since I took over the admin side of blog finances (which, let’s be real, isn’t my natural wheelhouse), it’s been both humbling and profoundly moving. I wasn’t as connected before to how donations actually come in, or to the day-to-day operations and the vendors we rely on to keep things relevant and user-friendly.
I’ve always been so grateful for the role everyone plays—on this little team and among our truly loving readers. But now, receiving each donation personally (along with those beautiful love notes of support) just blasts my heart open every single time I check in.
We really need and appreciate your loving help and partnership to keep going—energetically and financially. If you can manage it, please consider making a one-time or recurring donation to the Hope Chest. We strive every day to make the Golden Age of Gaia blog worth visiting, and our gratitude that you do show up here is sincere and truly never-ending.
Please do head over to the Hope Chest to donate—one-time or monthly. Every bit helps keep the lights on and the words flowing.
With deep thanks,
Suzi and the Golden Age Team
