Now that we have a candidate for “cultural universal” – namely, the divine states or qualities – we can start building on that intellectual foundation for a New Age philosophy, from the ground up, so to speak. (1)
What is it that makes the divine states desirable?
We have to start at the beginning. The purpose of life, according to a vision I had in 1987, is for God to meet God in a moment of our enlightenment. (2)
So, as long as we’re moving towards Self-Knowledge, we’re at work fulfilling the purpose of life.
Self-Knowledge means knowing ourselves – what we are and what we’re not. And, if you’ll allow me to let love stand in for all the divine qualities, which are simply different flavors of it, it turns out that we’re just an organization of living, flowing love.
We’re a conscious spark of the Divine Lovelight. And when we know ourselves at the most basic level, we’re close to fulfilling the purpose of life. God is close to meeting God.
It takes at least entry-level enlightenment – a fourth-chakra event – to unlock the door that guards this lovelight. But once this door, the hridayam or heart aperture, is open, we’re awash in the most satisfying, uplifting, and indescribable experience we probably have ever had in our lives up till that time.
I maintain that this door is an interdimensional portal. It must be because, although the door is located in a Fourth-Dimensional space, the interior it opened onto with me was interdimensional.
I landed on the Seventh Dimension, Michael says, (3) immersed in love. I spent the next seven months immersed in it, off and on. And then it became bliss.
I cannot fathom that there would be anyone on Earth who would reject this love after that experience. No, I think they’d have a complete change of heart like Saul/St. Paul on the road to Damascus, Francesco/St. Francis in the middle of a festive procession, or Angulimala the brigand/Angulimala the saint, from passing by the Buddha’s cave.
