We are not in Kansas anymore.
Unless you are in Kansas, then I will venture to say, you’re not in the same Kansas anymore.
Wizard of Oz references will never lose their punch in my opinion.
Even though the background and intent behind the writing of the story remains an enigma, the references embedded within, continue to surface as analogy to our current unfolding story.
Suffice it to say our current world is not the world of our childhood.
And if one were busy with their lives like we all have been, we probably still didn’t see this tornado coming.
But hasn’t it always been part of our destiny? Since we decided to be born during this lifetime?
Imagine if you will, getting lifted up, off the ground, high into the air, tossed about in winds of terrifying force with multiple other items of debris causing additional potential danger.
Now imagine feeling yourself being supported by the same air currents that lifted you up to begin with.
Updrafts become the welcoming action as they are keeping you from crashing to the ground.
Swirling about, you get familiar with the new scenario, tracking the other items swirling along with you.
You become sensitive to the shifting winds and focus on your new emerging awareness on how to gauge your journey.
You might be frantically formulating a plan but have no understanding or means on how to implement it.
You most certainly are pummeled with emotions, as panic and fear set in and you search for maintaining some level of control.
In that moment of realization, it will be entirely up to you to manage yourself.
There is nothing else you can do.
And so you do it.
For many it isn’t the tornado coming to sweep you away that is the issue.
Or the one that already has you tossing about in chaotic cyclical fashion.
No it isn’t about the whirling winds of change.
It is all about the landing.
You have been swept up into a spiraling mass of unpredictability, you have managed yourself, and a new concern emerges as you think about the coming down.
Suddenly staying in motion takes on a surprisingly new level of comfort.
As long as you’re moving, it means you aren’t crashing.
Tornado surfing isn’t a thing people generally have experience with. So landing from one probably won’t come with professional tips or recommended procedures.
Some may have experienced crashing in other ways and anticipate the impact. The rest of us can only imagine it.
Either way we can all expect that the landing could be jarring.
Unless certain conditions present themselves to help circumvent disaster we most certainly will be injured.
Those ideal conditions would require further anticipation. One cannot foresee it all.
So, Yes, this is going to hurt.
(Potentially and temporarily, like pulling off the band aid)
What doesn’t kill you will make you stronger.
Too soon?
Stepping back, reviewing my life journey since my childhood, I can see how my many life lessons built my character today.
Did anything prepare me for the noise, chaos and swirling winds of war we are being tested with today?
How would I have known how to prepare for the all out epic battle of ridding the planet of reptilian control?
How can I manage myself being tossed about by these unseen forces lashing out and fighting back against our decree for freedom?
Judging by my character today I know, since I exist, it was my choice.
I cannot explain it any better than this.
If I was born, it was under my terms.
And those terms seem to be a personal test.
I wouldn’t have it any other way.
In order to be here now, engaged in this epic story, would I do it again?
Heck yay! It is an honor to be in this moment.
This will be the classic of all classics.
This will be the Cosmic version of the Wizard of OZ.
We are being called to be who we were born to be.
My next task is to stick to the landing.
Circumstances out of my control are out of my control.
But what if there are things I can control?
Time to focus on what I can do.
Taking care of myself is one of those things.
Actually, I have that down pretty well.
Now I can reach out and be there for others.
In this way we can prepare the conditions for an optimal touch down.
Updrafts are sucking more people in everyday.
The winds of change are filled with surfers, willingly, knowingly or otherwise.
Will we be ready for when the storm has passed ?
