The turning point
Folks, I’m having to rethink my activities. I’m not asking any other editor to re-think theirs. But I’m placing myself on a war footing.
I’ll return to spiritual writing later or combine it if I’m able. But I’m now fully committed to reporting on the takedown of the ones who killed Charlie, and the ones behind them, and the ones behind them.
We’re seeing our leaders get assassinated (or their clones – I still hold open the hope that it was a Charlie Kirk clone). That is an escalation that has me sit up and pay attention.
I’m still having problem accepting that the cyber folks can listen in on … whatever they want, it seems … and yet they didn’t pick up chatter about a carefully-planned execution.
But the real tipping point for me was a recent allegation that I won’t even discuss until I know I thoroughly understand it. But it’s very, very serious. Once I’ve really looked into it and am sure it’s credible I’ll discuss. However, my emotional reaction was so intense that I allowed myself to tip regardless. I need to look into that allegation.
For now, let me say in a general way:
Societies that enter war – and I speak as (an ABD) historian (1) – are typically unprepared in the beginning for what they meet from those who have been preparing for war for years (white hat or black hat). The need to wake up before destruction overtakes us is screaming in me.
The Allies were unprepared in 1939. We are unprepared in 2025. And we lose Charlie Kirk. Is Trump next?
Surprising the Allies, the Germans in WWII came through the Ardennes forest. They completely outflanked the Maginot Line with tanks and planes. The Allies were unprepared for mobile warfare. They were unprepared for the aerial side of blitzkrieg as well. They were quickly overrun and defeated.
But never in the past have warring sides targeted leaders that I’m aware of (except for a few Medici et al poisonings).
***
Until now I’ve been posting a daily column and yet putting up the latest news of the day.
Covering the news now needs to come first. I now need to make my own daily columns very much optional or I’ll sink under the workload. When the cabal no longer threatens society or its leaders, I’ll return to normal.
To those folks who regard coverage of worldly events as against what they come to the blog for, I have to ask your pardon. The situation the world is in right now demands attention. Operation Arctic Frost, designed to put 92 Republicans and others on ice, is something I can’t ignore. (2)
There are numerous sites that publish only channeled messages, such as Voyages of Light and Era of Light, but for me, and for now, I feel the call to report and analyze current events as best I can.
So daily articles from me may be irregular for a while (may not). Updates and breaking news now have my attention until this crisis, this war is over.
Footnotes
(1) Since our opponents scrutinize everything we say, let me be clear: I took an MA in Canadian History from Carlton, 1970. Passed the courses for a Ph.D. in history at the University of BC, but was targetted by an anti-Semitic grad director who added a year onto my coursework for unnecessary language requirements (no basis for it).
Rather than deal with it my grad committee sent me off to the University of Toronto (a prestigious promotion), where I studied and passed all the courses. I did a dissertation in cultural history; my adviser was an intellectual historian. He judged that my look at social patterns in the pre-WWI period was not historical; regarded it as ground-breaking. He did not accept my dissertation.
Thereafter I served for a year as Western Canadian historian at the National Museum of Man in Ottawa, substituting for another historian. When that post was up, I moved to Vancouver but was never able to find another historical post. I switched to being a business writer and spiritual student in my spare time (producing The Purpose of Life is Enightenment). (3)
I think that makes me an ABD historian; professional experience but “all but dissertation.” I am no longer motivated to study at a university. I may some day publish my dissertation. I still think it was great!
