Yesterday I said that we needed new paradigms and a new game. I’ve talked about two paradigms that more or less condemn us to failure as a nurturing world.
The first is empirical materialism. It claims to explain the boundaries of our world. Only that which we can sense is deemed to be real.
Social Darwinism is the second. It claims to explain the social process as one of eat or be eaten. It tells us how to survive in a world so constituted.
Both are fundamentally mistaken in their view of life.
(A) God cannot be seen (or otherwise sensed) … with physical eyes (or physical senses).
(B) Our collective thoughts shape our world. Be predatory and our world is predatory. Be nurturing and our world would be nurturing.
Now put all that on the shelf.
I looked at the new game that Buckminster Fuller and Werner Erhard laid out for us: A world that works for everyone. (1)
You and I know that such a world is coming – a higher-dimensional world where love is as omnipresent as the air we now breathe. (2) A love which yearns to be shared and IS shared by everyone with everyone else and everything.
We haven’t the foggiest notion of the strength and feel of that love. We’re lucky if we experience it in a peak moment of union or upon seeing our newborn child.
Oooh, no, I’m trying to be kind. Stop it, Steve.
We’d actually only know it in a spiritual experience that reached up to the higher dimensions. I can only speak for myself, but I did not anticipate in my wildest dreams what … I’m tempted to call it “quantum” love, just for a joke … no idea what higher-dimensional love feels like. (3)
But the ones we listen to live in it.
Why is it I can’t mention love without going on and on about it? “It’s all a journey of love,” the Mother says. (4) It really is.
I’m going to need a second part to say what I came in here to say.
What I came in here to say is that we don’t need a new paradigm. We already have it.
