There’s been a silent evolution happening over here, which I assume is happening for everyone. My evolution, predictably, fits the work I’ll have ahead of myself.
What is that development? I’ve just noticed my “emergence” (1) in the area we call “self-command.” In our society, to say “he has command of himself” is a compliment. I don’t mean command over my triggers and core issues. I wish I did have control over them but I’m not totally there yet.
I mean something different. It’s a state of mind. When I need to, I now have the ability to stand firm in speaking to another, my feet absolutely flat, and feeling like I weigh a ton. It also feels as if I were made out of some indestructible metal – as long as I remain peaceful.
As an aside, a stage preceding “having command over one’s self ” is “arriving in one’s own life.” I believe I reported that some time ago but a reference for that escapes me.
This development is not at all what I was somehow anticipating. However, if you knew my history as having been dissociated for fifty years as a result of childhood abuse, then you’d know that this is undoubtedly another stage in healing and emerging from it.
This is perfect timing for me because, after the Reval, I’ll be the CEO of several companies and I need to be solid on my feet, so to speak. But I never expected that this quality of character would simply arise in the course of time.
To see how I’m going to do what lies ahead of me and how the quality simply arises when I need it also has me trust the Plan.
What a journey!
And another feature of that journey is our joyful approach to you each month, as the Mother has asked of us, (2) for the wherewithal to carry on.
Joyful because I know how giving is one available means to experience love.
After always puzzling over deeper meanings as to why the Mother asked us to approach you for our living, I see what a gift it’s been for me. I’ve cleared a core issue around receiving, really looked at how love flows in the act of giving, and made gifting a regular feature of my own life, etc.
I now see that, when I give, I offer myself the opportunity to experience the love and even bliss that comes from sharing, from extending myself to another. As you have with us for many years.
It arises from my heart and follows the act of giving, out to the other. I get to experience it as it passes through me. (3)
