Grassroots Money Laundering: How Zohran Mamdani Illegally Weaponized Charities to Win NYC’s Mayoral Primary

What if the “grassroots” political movements reshaping American cities aren’t grassroots at all, but rather illegal tax-exempt charity funded operations disguised as community activism?
In his July 2025 article, How Elite Money Flows Through Working Families Party Network, forensic investigator Sam Antar exposes a hidden financial web he calls “grassroots laundering”. His case study: the rise of Zohran Mamdani in New York City politics.
What Antar uncovered is a political machine powered not by working-class donations, but by a $2+ billion network of tax-exempt nonprofits that illegally converts taxpayer money and billionaire philanthropy into political power.
Antar reinforced these findings with extensive new documentation in Why the IRS Must Investigate the Tax-Exempt Syndicate that Weaponized Mamdani’s Campaign.
In this report, he demonstrates how the nonprofits network systematically blurs the line between charity and politics, and undermines the very foundations of campaign finance law with a reoccurring four-step money laundering cycle.
Here is how tax-deductible charitable donations and government grants are illegally converted into leftist political activity, according to Antar:
- Tax-Deductible Funding: Billionaires and major donors donate to 501(c)(3) charities, receiving tax breaks. Government grants then add hundreds of millions more.
- Transfers: These charities then quietly shift money to their 501(c)(4) political affiliates, often sharing staff and infrastructure as well.
- Political Spending: The 501(c)(4)s then funnel money into PACs and Super PACs, funding political campaigns like Zohran Mamdani’s.
- Feedback Loop: Once elected, Democrat officials expand government funding to the very charities that helped elect them, perpetuating the cycle.
At the center of Mamdani’s scheme, Antar writes, is a charitable façade led by nonprofits like Make the Road New York, a 501(c)(3) organization, which received $16.1 million in taxpayer grants, over half its revenue, in 2023.
By law, such groups are barred from engaging in partisan politics. Yet, as Antar shows, resources then flowed from Make the Road New York directly into its political sibling, Make the Road Action, a 501(c)(4), which can legally engage in political activity under the (c)(4) banner. This seamless pipeline between supposedly independent entities is at the heart of the money laundering scheme.
For example, on June 11, 2025 Make the Road Action (c)(4) contributed $45,697.14 to the Working Families Party (WFP) National PAC. That same day, the PAC reported an “in-kind” expenditure for the identical amount, labeled as “Phone Bank Services.” The statistical likelihood of this exact amount being coincidental is so small that Antar calls it a near certainty of illegal coordination.
Further, during Mamdani’s 2025 mayoral campaign, two supposedly independent PACs, including the WFP National PAC and “New Yorkers for Lower Costs”, spent $2,022,238 boosting his candidacy, more than the Mamdani campaign’s own fundraising of $1,708,494. Out-of-state tech billionaires provided over 70% of one PAC’s funding.
That’s how coordinated expenditures and same-day circular transactions were able to masquerade as “grassroots support” for Mamdani from ordinary New Yorkers.
Antar traces all these operations across a sprawling constellation of organizations: the Working Families Organization, the Center for Popular Democracy, the Tides Foundation, and George Soros’s powerful Open Society empire.
Together, these groups distribute over $693 million annually. The Tides Foundation (501(c)(3)) sent $4.55 million to the Working Families Organization, while its political arm, Tides Advocacy (501(c)(4)), contributed $295,173.
Antar cites an independent audit by Deloitte and Withum who confirmed that these groups shared staff, payroll systems, and even office space, shattering the legal independence required for tax-exempt status. Antar concludes these groups function as a single political machine under the guise of tax-exempt charities.
The corruption was not only financial, but also personnel-based. Tascha Van Auken, a senior WFP operative, became Mamdani’s 2025 campaign Field Director with nearly $80,000 in payments. Executives like Theodoro Oshiro and Daniel Altschuler drew salaries from both charitable and political entities while simultaneously holding political posts in 501(c)(3) organizations.
“The entire leftist campaign infrastructure is illegal under the tax code,” Antar says.
Meanwhile, regulators failed to police these abuses. A New York Campaign Finance Board member had been a 15-year WFP veteran, while a senior staffer openly declared support for Mamdani’s campaign, rendering oversight meaningless.
Antar’s findings expose Mamdani’s movement not as a grassroots uprising at all, but rather as a carefully engineered illusion to fool voters – a campaign built upon deception rather than democracy.
Mamdani simply weaponized charitable organizations, taxpayer dollars, and billionaire money to evade campaign finance laws while manufacturing the appearance of popular support.
Antar warns, “This is not just about campaign finance violations – it’s about the erosion of public trust when democratic narratives are scripted by hidden elite machinery and sold as the people’s will.”
Accordingly, Antar believes a comprehensive IRS investigation is needed, and reports he has filed a whistleblower complaint with the IRS. Thanks to Sam Antar, the Mamdani machine may soon face scrutiny as one of the most brazen political funding scandals in New York City’s modern history.

Former US Intelligence Agents Threaten Chaos After Being Exposed as Deep Staters

Since recapturing the Oval Office on January 20, 2025, President Donald J. Trump and his Cabinet have been on a warpath to purge intelligence agencies of Biden holdovers and RINOs, some for having committed crimes and others for their affiliations.
The FBI has fired approximately 1,700; the CIA 1,450; the NSA 375. Although these numbers might seem trivial given the enormity of the intelligence apparatus, they represent a growing number of now-disgruntled ex-government workers who feel they lost their livelihoods unjustly.
In May Real Raw News published an article on the dangers of mass firing intelligence officials. The gist: Angry people act irrationally, and aggrieved people suddenly deprived of income could wreak havoc, particularly if they had, or still have, access to classified, sensitive data.
Evidence suggests such a situation could occur soon.
Daniel Frost had been a data procurer at the CIA’s Counterintelligence Mission Center (CMC) from 2014 until his ouster on July 7, 2025. The agency had recruited Frost following his six-year stint in the US Army as a (MOS 35L) counterintelligence specialist.
On July 2, 2025, two coworkers overheard Frost telling another CIA employee that Trump was an “unpatriotic asshole” for raising revenue by selling watches costing upwards of $100,000. He was apparently unaware that neither Trump nor the Trump Organization designed or manufactured the watches, or that Trump had merely granted “GetTrumpWatches” a license to use his name, for which he collects small royalties.
The “unpatriotic asshole” comment reached the ears of CIA Director John Ratclifee and, afterward, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who supervises 18 agencies that are part of the intelligence community.
On July 7, Frost was summoned to his supervisor’s office and fired. In exchange for a paltry severance package, he had to sign another non-disclosure/non-disparagement agreement and attest under oath that he would hold sacred any information he had learned while at the CIA. Frost signed the documents reluctantly, an agency official told Real Raw News.
Frost, the source said, has vast knowledge of CIA operations, including the names of agents stationed at secret annexes and safehouses across the world. Info enemies might use to eliminate or blackmail covert operatives.
Despite signing the agreement, Frost disappeared on August 3. Single and childless, Frost vanished from his Virginia condominium, valued at $650,000, without a trace.
“He pulled a Houdini,” our source said. “WE don’t know where he’s gone, but he has secrets that could make the Cold War look like a case of the sniffles. We really need to find him.”
Frost is not the only former intel specialist to have upped and vanished.
On June 3, NSA Director Lieutenant General William J. Hartman fired cryptanalyst Jeff Hauser, a civilian contractor, after learning he had over 1,000 social media sock puppet accounts with which he had disparaged not only the NSA but also every US intelligence agency and member of the Trump administration. His every post was a boldfaced lie, propaganda to besmirch and defame administration officials.
We do not know how the NSA uncovered his treachery, or why he wasn’t charged with treason, but we know, based on reliable sources, that he was fired and told he would never again find gainful employment. Two weeks later, Gen. Hartman received from Hauser an untraceable email: “I’m beyond your reach, and you’re fucked, as is anyone I want to fuck with, you fucking bastard.”
These are just two examples, and surely more will arise as firings escalate. Eventually Trump might emerge victorious after ousting all Deep State intelligence agents, but it could well be a pyrrhic victory if terminated workers put good people in harm’s way.
This next story is pretty interesting to a person who’s studied history and sociology.
Whenever someone familiar with the deep state or leftist playbook sits in the hot seat (the interviewee), whether it’s Karoline Leavitt or Pam Bondi or Jillian Michaels (here), the drama that ensues from the defenders of woke culture being “called” or “awakened” is truly a marvel to watch.

It was an absolute trainwreck for CNN’s race-baiting panel when former Democrat and fitness icon Jillian Michaels refused to play along with the Left’s one-note script on slavery, history, and the Smithsonian’s woke exhibits.
For context, the Trump administration is conducting an extensive review of the Smithsonian Institution ahead of next year’s 250th anniversary of America’s founding.
It will direct certain national museums and related exhibits to showcase “the unity, progress, and enduring values that define the American story.”
Appearing alongside Democrat strategist Julie Roginsky, Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY), Scott Jennings, and CNN host Abby Phillip during a segment discussing the Smithsonian’s content review, Michaels dismantled the idea that every historical and cultural issue can be reduced to “white people bad.”
The fireworks started when Roginsky accused conservatives of trying to “whitewash” American history to appease the “MAGA base.”
Michaels immediately challenged her, pointing out that reviewing biased exhibits isn’t erasing history, it’s removing the political propaganda baked into taxpayer-funded museums.
When Roginsky tossed out slavery as an example, Michaels hit back hard, which didn’t sit well with Torres, who predictably declared America’s history a “system of white supremacy.”
Michaels refused to back down, noting that the Smithsonian’s narrative is often historically sloppy—like exhibits framing Cuban migration as “white people bad” instead of the reality of fleeing communist tyrant Fidel Castro.
Julie Roginsky:
He’s effectively now got some random person deciding what is appropriate for the Smithsonian to teach in terms of American history—things that don’t offend parts of the MAGA base. We’re now literally reviewing parts of American history and parts of American culture to make sure it comports with dear leader and what the MAGA organization wants.
Jillian Michaels:
Can we address some of those things that are in there?.. Have you looked at some of the things that are being reviewed?
Julie Roginsky:
Yeah, slavery was a bad thing that we should talk about.
Jillian Michaels:
He’s not whitewashing slavery.
Julie Roginsky:
He’s not?
Jillian Michaels:
No, he’s not. You cannot tie imperialism and racism and slavery to just one race, which is pretty much what every single exhibit does… Do you realize that only less than 2% of white Americans owned slaves?
Congressman Ritchie Torres (D-NY):
But it was a system of white supremacy.
Jillian Michaels:
Do you realize that slavery is thousands of years old? Do you know who was the first race to try to end slavery?
Phillip tried to turn it into a racial blame game, accusing Michaels of “litigating who benefited from slavery.” Michaels fired back, accusing the panel of trying to straw-man her.
Abby Phillip:
I’m really surprised. I’m surprised that you’re trying to litigate who was the beneficiary of slavery and who was not.
Jillian Michaels:
I’m not. What I’m trying to tell you is that—
Abby Phillips:
In the context of American history, what you are saying is incorrect by saying that it was white people oppressing black people?
Jillian Michaels:
What I am saying is you cannot—every single thing is like, “Oh, no, no, no, this is all because white people bad.” That’s just not the truth. For example, every single exhibit—I have a list of every single one—people migrated from Cuba because “white people bad,” not because of Castro.
When Phillip tried to shut the conversation down, saying there wasn’t time to “litigate all of this,” Michaels hit back.
Abby Phillips:
Jillian, you have a lot of stuff in front of you. What exactly are you talking about?
Jillian Michaels:
Okay, I’ll give you an example. There’s one called Change Your Game. This has been an installation there. “Is gender testing fair in sports?” Then it goes on to talk about how it’s complex to do gender testing in sports. It’s not complex. It’s basic science. That’s untrue. It’s XX chromosome, XY chromosome. That’s sports. Is it fair to have biological men competing against biological women in sports? No. But why is this in the Smithsonian? It’s been completely captured.
Abby Phillips:
First of all, we don’t have time to litigate all of this.
Jillian Michaels:
Of course we don’t, because then you’re going to lose the argument. Everything is racialized, just like you’re trying to do to me now.
Abby Phillips:
Excuse me.
By the time they moved on to a different topic, Michaels had exposed the Left’s media strategy in real time, turning every issue into race, pushing revisionist history, and shutting down any conversation that didn’t fit the narrative.
Abby Phillip:
Just to be clear, you brought up race. This was a conversation about the arts, and you brought up race.
Jillian Michaels:
It isn’t, though.
Abby Phillip:
You brought up slavery, and you brought up the question of whether.
Jillian Michaels:
I actually didn’t. You did.
Abby Phillip:
You brought up the question of whether or not slavery in the United States is about race. The answer is yes. Slavery in the United States is about race.
Jillian Michaels:
No, don’t straw man my argument because that’s not what I said.

What are you talking about?

[Julie Roginsky] brought up slavery. What I was talking about is that this isn’t really about that. When you make every single exhibit about white imperialism, when it isn’t relevant at all, that is a problem. Corrupt St. Louis Democrat Politician Indicted for Election Fraud

The Democrat Party has long marketed itself as the defender of democracy and integrity. Yet, in Missouri’s largest county, the party’s highest-ranking official now faces serious criminal charges for abusing the public trust.
On Wednesday, St. Louis County Executive Sam Page was indicted on four counts for allegedly misusing taxpayer dollars to sway voters against an April ballot measure designed to check his power.
The case, brought forward by Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey’s office, is a concerning reminder of how entrenched corruption has become in Democrat-controlled local governments.
According to the indictment, Page, who has been in office since 2019, directed $35,000 in county funds to produce and distribute more than 50,000 flyers and mailers opposing Proposition B.
The ballot initiative would have given the St. Louis County Council more oversight authority, including the ability to remove department heads appointed by the executive.
Page’s office used taxpayer dollars to distribute a mailer warning that the proposal could result in department heads being “fired during emergencies like snowstorms” or dismissed for “political reasons.”
In other words, public money was spent not to inform voters neutrally, but to protect Page’s political power.
The charges include two felony counts of stealing more than $750 and two misdemeanor election offenses. Combined, they carry penalties of up to 13 years in prison and fines as high as $24,000.
Bailey, a Republican, was clear in his statement: “Public officials must follow the law, and my office will work to ensure that they always do.”
He added that any intentional misuse of taxpayer funds to influence an election amounts to “rigging the outcome.”
Missouri law could not be clearer. Since 1988, political subdivisions have been barred from using taxpayer money to advocate for or against ballot measures.
Local governments are permitted to provide factual information about proposals, a common practice when school boards pursue bond issues or local governments seek tax changes.
But they cannot campaign. Page’s decision to cross that line—and then claim that his materials were “neutral”—is a textbook example of corruption hidden under the disguise of governance.
The indictment lands in a county already scarred by scandal. Page’s predecessor, Democrat Steve Stenger, resigned in 2019 after pleading guilty to bribery, mail fraud, and theft of honest services.
Stenger was sentenced to four years in prison. Page was supposed to represent a clean break from that culture of corruption, but instead, he may face the same fate.
The fact that two consecutive county executives are now indicted underscores how deeply corruption runs through the Democrat machine in St. Louis County.
Proposition B itself was the product of growing tension between Page and the county council. Six of the seven council members opposed Page, and the measure would have stripped his unilateral control over department leadership.
Despite the misuse of taxpayer dollars, voters still rejected the measure by more than 60 percent.
Ironically, Page’s illegal use of public funds may not even have been necessary, but that makes the offense no less serious. If anything, it demonstrates how far some Democrats will go to protect their own authority—even when the outcome is already leaning in their favor.
Democrats frequently accuse Republicans of “attacking democracy” whenever election laws are tightened or ballot security measures are enforced.
Yet in Missouri, it is a Democrat who stands accused of breaking election law for personal gain. The indictment of Sam Page is not just a local scandal—it is a warning. When public officials believe they can misuse taxpayer funds to manipulate elections, democracy itself is undermined.
Missouri voters deserve accountability, and, if Page is convicted, his downfall will mark another chapter in the Democrat Party’s long history of corruption in St. Louis County.
