One example of a cultural ideal in conduct. La Belle Dame Sans Merci
I don’t feel quite finished with my previous remarks about character. (1)
Specifically, I remain intrigued by what Matthew Ward said:
Matthew: Your ‘travel ticket’ is the absorption of light that comes automatically with living in godly ways. (2)
So, what determines whether we ascend now or in a later Ascension is “the absorption of light.” How much light we can hold without stopping [i.e., resisting] determines whether we’ll be able to tolerate a higher dimension.
And how do we open to that light? It “comes automatically with living in godly ways.”
Living in godly ways, to my mind, is another way of saying living in accord with the divine qualities. Love, bliss, ecstasy, courage, valor, compassion, mercy – these are qualities of the divine. (3)
An old saying holds that, if we want to know God, we have to be God. And acting in accord with the divine qualities is, in my books, “being” God.
Simple self-interest argues for living the divine qualities. The more we succeed in that endeavor, the better we feel. And how we feel is really where everything is at, is it not?
We might have a roomful of gold but that does not say how we’re going to feel. If we don’t feel happy, we’ll keep on looking.
If we succeed in experiencing one of the divine qualities as a realized state of consciousness, the rewards while we’re in that state are not only what we were looking for from the roomful of gold, but also what everyone is looking for from life itself.
We feel completely satisfied while in that state. After Ascension, we’ll be in it permanently. No more peak experiences, transformative moments, etc. Now permanent address: An Ocean of Love.
What synchronicity that the day I write this, Chellea Weller cites St. Germain as saying:
This is the Day. The first Day of your New Beginning, and it is a powerful energetic reminder of the importance of embracing The Heightened Frequencies [divine qualities].
It’s Time to take courageous steps forward in various aspects of your life. This moment highlights the significance of personal growth, where individuals are encouraged to step out of their comfort zones and pursue opportunities for self-improvement. (4)
“Courageous steps forward” is similar to saying “100% commitment.” It’s my understanding that all heaven moves when we’re 100% committed. Said William Hutchison Murray:
“Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation) there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too.
“All sorts of things occur to help one that would not otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance which no man would have dreamed would come his way.” (5)
I call this process of taking courageous steps forward “emergence.” (6) … But that’s a whole other discussion!
Emerging from our shell of issues and upsets is a way of allowing our always, already-present character to shine forth from amidst the clouds. And allowing it to do so turns out to be our travel ticket to Ascension itself, as Matthew said.
