Suzi: I’ve noticed a trend in writing style of late that I can’t seem to really make peace with. “To each their own” is certainly a fitting idiom in this regard. I’m just doing some self observation out loud. The short sentences and punchy statements as well as the negative “This wasn’t just something something, it was this other much more powerful something…”
It just feels manipulative to me, even if said covert directing of the reader’s thoughts was designed to engage and inform at the same time.
I’m back in “to each their own” mode. I like the content enough to get over my issue with this new style of expression. I’m just sayin’…
