Catherine Austin Fitts is an American investment banker and former public official, born December 24, 1950, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She served as managing director at Dillon, Read & Co. and as Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development for Housing under President George H.W. Bush.
She founded Hamilton Securities, which managed HUD’s $500 billion portfolio, and later Solari, Inc., where she publishes The Solari Report. Fitts is known for her critiques of government spending, alleging large-scale fraud, including a 2017 report claiming $21 trillion in unauthorized spending by the U.S. Department of Defense and HUD. She has appeared in media discussing financial transparency and economic issues.
