FBI Director Christopher Wray announced his resignation on Wednesday.
“After weeks of careful thought, I’ve decided the right thing for the bureau is for me to serve until the end of the current administration in January and then step down,” Christopher Wray said Wednesday, according NBC News.
“My goal is to keep the focus on our mission — the indispensable work you’re doing on behalf of the American people every day,” Wray said. “In my view, this is the best way to avoid dragging the Bureau deeper into the fray, while reinforcing the values and principles that are so important to how we do our work.”
Earlier this week it was reported that FBI Director Christopher Wray was preparing to resign as President Trump moves forward with nominee Kash Patel.
Republican Senator Chuck Grassley (IA) sent Christopher Wray a blistering letter on Monday and told him and his deputy Paul Abbate to step down for the good of the country.
“For the good of the country, it’s time for you and your deputy to move on to the next chapter in your lives,” Mr. Grassley wrote in the letter to Wray, according to The Washington Times. “I therefore must express my vote of no confidence in your continued leadership of the FBI.”
According to The Washington Times, Christopher Wray didn’t want to get fired by President Trump.
Last weekend Kristen Welker tried to get Trump in a gotcha question over potentially firing Christopher Wray.
“Are you going to fire the current FBI Director Christopher Wray who you appointed?” Kristen Welker asked Trump.
Trump knew exactly how to handle this question.
“Well, I can’t say I’m thrilled with him. He invaded my home. I’m suing the country over it. He invaded Mar-a-Lago. I’m very unhappy with the things he’s done and crime is at an all-time high,” Trump said.
Trump told Kristen Welker he’s not going to answer her question.
Trump continued, “And then when I was shot in the ear, [Wray] said oh maybe it was shrapnel…”
Kristen Welker asked Trump again if he’s going to fire Christopher Wray.
“It would sort of seem pretty obvious that if Kash Patel gets in, he’s going to be taking somebody’s place, right? That somebody is the man you’re talking about.”

The Biden administration announced a controversial $20 billion loan to Ukraine on Tuesday.
The kicker? The funds are derived from frozen Russian assets, which critics are calling outright theft and an unprecedented gamble with international norms.
This decision is part of a broader $50 billion package orchestrated by the Group of Seven (G7) nations, aiming to support Ukraine amidst its ongoing conflict with Russia.
“These funds – paid for by the windfall proceeds earned from Russia’s own immobilized assets – will provide Ukraine a critical infusion of support as it defends its country against an unprovoked war of aggression,” Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen said in a statement.
“The $50 billion collectively being provided by the G7 through this initiative will help ensure Ukraine has the resources it needs to sustain emergency services, hospitals, and other foundations of its brave resistance. Together with America’s security assistance to Ukraine and the steps we will continue to take to decisively tighten sanctions on Russia, this action will further position Ukraine to defend its sovereignty and achieve a just peace.”
“Right now, Putin is engaging our coalition in a contest of wills, counting on us to tire and ultimately retreat. But, through creative policymaking and the unity of the G7, we are sending an unmistakable message of resolve by making Russia increasingly bear the costs of its illegal war, instead of taxpayers in our coalition,” Yellen concluded.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made the announcement during the White House press briefing.
Karine Jean-Pierre: The United States and the G7 are making good on that commitment. Together we will leverage income earned on frozen Russian sovereign assets to provide a total of $50 billion of extra ordinary revenue acceleration ERA Loans to Ukraine.
This will lend vital support to the people of Ukraine as they defend their country and it also makes clear aggressors and tyrants will be responsible for the damage they cause.
The Biden administration’s unrelenting funneling of taxpayer dollars to Ukraine shows no signs of slowing. Here’s the timeline of Biden’s recent aid announcements:
- On September 26th, the Biden regime announced a massive $8 billion package to Ukraine that included bombs.
- On October 16th, the Biden regime surged $425 million to Ukraine’s defenses.
- On November 8, after the election, the media reported Ukraine would receive $6 billion in military aid before Trump entered office.
- On December 2nd, the Biden regime announced a military assistance package worth $725 million to Ukraine.
- On December 7th—three days ago, the Biden administration announced another $988 million aid package to Ukraine.
According to the Council on Foreign Relations, as of September 2024, the Biden administration had committed approximately $175 billion in aid related to the conflict in Ukraine.
It’s important to note that this amount reflects commitments made up to September 2024 and does not include any additional aid that may have been provided since then.

Former WaPo reporter and notorious crybully [bias] Taylor Lorenz continues to cheer the murder of UnitedHealthCare CEO Brian Thompson.
Thompson, 50, was shot in the chest Wednesday morning outside the Hilton hotel in Midtown Manhattan and later pronounced dead at the Mt. Sinai Hospital.
Authorities in New York arrested former Ivy League student Luigi Mangione on Monday following a nationwide manhunt in the wake of Thompson’s murder.
Following this gruesome murder, according to Disclose TV, Lorenz posted “we want these executives dead” on BlueSky social media.
Lorenz joined Piers Morgan on “Piers Morgan Uncensored” on Monday and could not wipe the beaming grin from her face while discussing the murder.
Morgan asked Lorenz why she seemed to be in a celebratory mood about the execution of another human being.
Lorenz: I do believe in the sanctity of life and I think that’s why I felt, along with so many other Americans, joy, unfortunately.
Morgan: Joy in a man’s execution?
Lorenz: I guess I would say, maybe not joy, but certainly not empathy, because again, this is a man responsible.
Morgan: We’re watching the footage. How can this make you joyful? This guy is a husband, he’s her father, and he’s being gunned down in the middle of Manhattan. Why does that make you joyful?
Lorenz: So are the tens of thousands of Americans that are being murdered. So are the tens of thousands of Americans, innocent Americans, who died because greedy health insurance executives like this one push a policies of denying care to the most vulnerable people. And the many millions of Americans that have watched people that I care about suffer, and in some cases, die because of lack of health care.
