Patience is the calm acceptance that things can happen in a different order than the one you have in mind. ~ David G. Allen
It’s a gray, gloomy day, after a week of crisp sunshine. Perhaps that’s whence the melancholy arises. But I think it’s more than that.
To have any peace at all, I have to believe that I’m on the side of what’s best for America and its citizens, in this contest of political will in the United States.
The information sources that I consult assure me that President Trump has the good of the American people in his heart, in his plans, in the team that surrounds him.
I must assume that those who vote for Kamala Harris believe she has the good of the American people in mind.
Why else would they choose that candidate?

I feel sure that Kamala is a flat-out liar. Election interference has already been documented in the early voting. As far as I can tell, the cheating is all to benefit Democratic candidate Harris, not President Trump.
Of course, I’m subject to the bias of only consulting certain sources. I don’t heed mainstream news. Are they continuing to say that President Trump is bad because XYZ? I’m only slightly familiar with what XYZ might be, and dismiss such accusations as lies.
My sources keep flagging Kamala’s and the Democrats’ obvious antagonism and deceitfulness toward Americans (such as election interference). I assume that if negative soundbites about Kamala show up in the mainstream, they’re usually downplayed, and the party of the Cabal is relentlessly touted as the best choice. If mainstream viewers consult nothing but the mainstream, and perhaps are a bit deficient in discernment, what else can they be expected to believe?

I don’t want to energetically invite a chaotic election day or a Cabal “win” by writing pessimistically about the possible outcome on Tuesday. But I can’t quite kick this melancholy, almost dread, that has blanketed me like the gray sky overhead.
I’m recalling what Simon Parkes said during coverage of the 2021 “inauguration” of “President Biden.” I’m paraphrasing: if the fraudulent 2020 election is allowed to stand, there won’t be a country by the time we get to 2024.
The 2020 election result was allowed to stand, and it’s a few days until the election of 2024. We are still here as a country. Much battered, and if the sources I consult are correct, we’ve been battered by the very Cabal who’s pushing candidate Kamala at us (i.e., the weather warfare that fomented hurricanes to destroy parts of North Carolina and other states). The hurricanes are just the most recent of the worst that has been thrown at us. Nearly four years of a “Democratic win” seems to have turned our country into something more resembling Mordor than the Shire.
*****
That’s really all I need to know: I want to live in the Shire, not Mordor. I quite believe that the Cabal and Kamala are Mordor dwellers in modern-day disguise. When – if – they are revealed as such, I hope the voters who were duped into believing they were choosing the best for themselves and the country can recover from that shock in good time.
And if the proverbial shoe is on the other foot, and President Trump…”loses”?
I’ll cross that bridge if we get to it. Meanwhile, I’ll gather some seeds to plant this coming spring, in my little corner of the Shire that is to be.
