I am sovereign.
This seems to be the battle cry of our ascension.
This generates many questions in my mind and where to begin turns me into a pretzel.
I will start at the end which may actually be the beginning.
I am sovereign. Which I take to mean, I am fully in charge of myself and do not need a governing body to make decisions or policy to rule me.
This is the idea behind boycotting drivers licenses and passports. Or wearing seatbelts.
As citizens of the planet earth why do we need permission to move about the planet? (bear with me)
Why do I need to be told to stay safe?
Many people who are declaring sovereignty fill out paperwork and file for legal standing to declare their independence.
I say, if you are truly a Sovereign soul, no paperwork is necessary.
In fact the act of doing so is counter intuitive as you would be in fact asking permission from another alleged sovereign party.
For me, to truly be sovereign means you ask permission of no one.
It would be an act of self realization and achieving self actualizing as outlined in Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.
When one takes complete responsibility of the self including behavior and actions, no outside or external controls are necessary.
If this was an acceptable aspiration and condition of humanity it could become a desirable achievement.
As it stands now in our society there is little to no room for behavior or actions that don’t have some sort of regulation or control spelled out.
We are fully immersed in external control governance with punishment as consequences.
This is sometimes called the law.
To a large degree these have been implemented for our ‘protection’.
For those without moral fiber, laws don’t matter to them anyway.
Legal control has thus been wielded as a weapon.
The corrupt system has been designed to manage us and keep many trapped in the lowest hierarchy of needs.
As we further ourselves along ascension’s path, there’s a need to recognize those who are rising beyond the confines of our bedeviled society.
How do we break the chains? How do we rise up?
In order to understand what this entails let’s start with how it began..
Looking into the origin of ‘sovereignty’ we go back 450 years to its first emergence in France.
The term describes a political condition where ‘a party rules or reigns as supreme above all others.’
So if it was intended to describe a king or queen ruling over a kingdom, how has it become a term for referencing the self or the individual?
When did it become, I am?
Going back even further into its root origin from Latin comes ‘superanus’.
This word means supreme and specifically ‘ supreme power of the state to extract obedience from its people and impose punishment to those who disobey.’
Well, that couldn’t describe our current situation any better.
And so the taking back of our power is essentially the taking back of sovereignty.
This action and process has been recognized by the few souls that have seen the control clearly and have had enough.
They realize they do not need that level of obedience for whatever reason. possibly because they disagree with policy that prescribes punishment and all the hypocrisy within.
But it is more than that.
One needs to be self actualized as I described above.
We must become the essence of love.
We’re taking back our power as galactic citizens.
As personal connections to source heightens, we ascend above the confines of those parties that seek to control us.
As kind, benevolent, spiritual beings we are stepping up and saying, ‘I don’t need you to tell me what to do anymore.’
I got this. We got this. And yeah, we can do this and still work together.
Imagine that!
Yes, please do: imagine that.
It is not easy to declare yourself sovereign.
The control has been embedded deep into our psyche and our systems of operation.
For the most part we are very dependent upon our government.
It’s okay to seek help and to support each other when need be.
Look at the situation of the people of North Carolina, Florida, and others. They showed amazing resiliency.
I believe we are heading into a time that weaning ourselves away from external sources is the right move.
It’s time we left the security of someone thinking for us.
We are moving beyond the answers being provided for us.
We are capable of finding ourselves within ourselves and still functioning day to day.
We can shake off that co-dependency we have been crippled by in the past.
It’s not a blame/shame game.
It’s that the time has come for us to redefine ourselves.
And we are doing so by repurposing the very words, thoughts and beliefs that kept us small.
Swords in Tarot, where words are portrayed as weapons.
As those in the USA, Canada and elsewhere emerge from elections, there will be great change.
The whole world waits with bated breath for the US election and the days that follow.
I honestly feel that no matter the outcome or who is your candidate of choice, the need to find ourselves will still prevail.
We cannot continue to look outside of ourselves for answers.
There is also a need for time to find our feet and learn how to do that.
There are those that are already shouting ‘I am Sovereign’ as their battle cry.
And yet there are those that will be afraid unless they can pay their taxes to a supreme ruler.
Change is hard.
Uncertainty will take time to subside.
We are in a period of rebirth.
Emerging from a dark, a very dark age.
We are birthing a new way of being.
No matter where each of us are in this process, it will be different from each other.
Our knowing holds various layers of understanding.
We will get there, wherever ‘there’ is.
There is a lot of support around us as we try out our new legs.
Or you may be the one that others turn to as you model how to run.
For some it will be wings.
Wherever you’re at in this birthing process, be kind.
Be responsible. Be sovereign.
And most of all be of love.
May the force be with us all.
