I went and had my eyes tested this morning, and I was so shocked at how the more strained my eyes became, the less I was able to focus and concentrate on what the optometrist was saying. I could hear her perfectly but couldn’t take in what she was saying.
It made me think how miraculous we are, without seeing it (no pun intended).
We literally shut off parts of ourselves when we are over-stretched or over-strained.
Wow!
The importance of living in vitality and replenishment is far bigger than we thought. If we are not, we are literally living with parts of ourselves shut down/unable to feel.
It’s time to re-engage all those tired and shut off places, and let them know that it’s safe to reconnect again.
This can only happen when you do what you need to do to replenish you.
Here’s what I’m doing ~
- I am resting today (and I rested a lot yesterday).
- I may do some art (even though I can’t paint because I don’t have a studio, just doodling is therapeutic for me).
- I will listen to the deep relaxation meditation on my website (always a favourite to enter a healing state).
- I’m going to eat warming foods and drink warming drinks (today is so cold where I am).
- I’ll love my children and animals by being with them more diligently today (that always centers me).
- I’ll remember how loved I am, and how much I love my husband (that always brings me in awe struck gratitude).
- I’ll take a moment to honor myself for how honest I am (even when I feel scared to say something – I’ve learned to do it anyway).
What are you doing to replenish you, so that the parts of you that shut down can feel safe again?
