Life is filled with opportunity.
The hard part can be in seeing it.
Opportunity doesn’t always stand out in the open with blinking neon arrows saying Here I am.
Often it disguises itself as misfortune and puts challenges directly in our path.
Or it sits on the sidelines waiting for us to recognize the signs.
It could be much easier to steam roll right past it rather than to look up from our trodden path and take advantage of a camouflaged situation.
This is often how it works and opportunity is always there ready to be taken advantage of by those who see it and grasp the moment.
Opportunity comes to us daily in many small ways. During a lifetime it can come along in large and even grand style.
It can be presented in drastic profound life changing moments or spontaneously generated gifts along the way.
However it arrives it cannot grow itself and needs us to pick up on the presentation.
Opportunities are what we make of them.
Opportunity is often connected with change. When there is change there is always opportunity.
Depending on circumstance the opportunity may be obvious or it may be buried and hidden under distractions, emotions and triggers of previous experiences.
In this regard events that may be viewed as negative need to be given a lift in order to turn the situation around.
That lift is Opportunity wearing the face of change with a positive perspective.
So how does one see opportunity when struggling with the detritus in the way?
How does one find advantage when their house has just burned to the ground?
How can this situation bring opportunity?
This will all be up to the way the challenge is met and perceived by the individual.
Is it a tragedy or opportunity?
What kind of help one receives really does make a difference when tragedy strikes.
This alone can turn a struggle around allowing space for the broader perspective.
Getting that break from overwhelm can provide a different vantage point.
By engaging, we can help and share in any opportunity being presented.
There is the saying, This opportunity doesn’t always come your way.
That may be true for some synchronicities.
And for these you indeed need to jump on the sweet timing of things.
This is the gift the universe delivers to your doorstep.
Maybe it’s a karmic reward for living right.
However it arrives you still have a choice on how you use it.
In other scenarios, I think opportunity can be created.
It doesn’t just need to be fate lying in wait.
When trying to problem solve or find solutions on clients projects. I provide opportunities for their decision making.
This is their moment to look into their heart and bring forward what makes them happy.
It’s in these choice point moments that opportunity is created.
The win-win path is the goal.
Sometimes when more parties are involved getting the win-win-win transaction off the ground can be extremely gratifying.
On the world stage we are being faced with change.
The world is at this moment facing its own burning down the house.
This in turn brings many challenges close to home.
What are we to do when what seems like a tragedy hits up close and personal?
How do we view the chaos and uproar from without and deal with it from within?
If this is indeed an opportunity, what changes do we want to bring forward?
How can we take advantage of the change and give it a facelift for a win- win outcome?
Better yet, the Win-win- win?
Is this the once in a lifetime chance to rebuild our own house ?
Can we create neighborhoods of beauty, joy, compassion, love and even bliss?
How else do we do this but one house at a time.
Burn the tragedies of the past and recreate the world into the nurturing, nourishing tranquil planet it was meant to be.
And when I say burn may I suggest the violet flame.
We can always start with our own house.
Learn to see the opportunities in all things.
No matter what challenges are ahead, let’s greet them with recognition that this is our golden opportunity to make a difference.
There is so much fear mongering going on out there.
What can we do to use this movement to our advantage?
Is the Solar eclipse on April 8 destined to bring about monumental change?
I say bring it on. We got this.
optimistia opportuniis (my slang)
ob portum veniens optimus (Latin version translates as ‘we are coming into a favorable port’)
we are winning
we have won
