The rain has gone from being an exciting novelty to a dreary inconvenience. Another atmospheric river has parked itself over California. With the rain comes the wind, arm in arm like ghostly sisters at the final waltz.
Where has the balance gone? From crying with thirst to drowning in rain, we’ve been yanked across the spectrum of extreme weather in my native state for far too long.
I sometimes feel as if this state is a fulcrum upon which a power struggle is being waged. The pounding rain reminds me of artillery. The violent firestorms of the drought years, infernos at the mouth of hell.
California contains mysterious Mount Shasta and the ancient, steady energy of the soaring old-growth redwoods. From deserts to snowy mountain ranges, lush farmland to rolling golden hills, we’re a land of contrast and contrariness. Perhaps weather extremes, here on the cusp of the final battle for Earth, are inevitable in this golden California state.
I wonder if the naiads are contributing to this deluge? I wonder how many Earth elementals are dancing their magic spells through the weather weirdness of the world?
I’ve no way of knowing what is Earth-generated and what is dark-forces-generated on the geographical battlefield of this planet. While it’s tempting to ascribe the overflow of rain to the dark controllers, and logical to ascribe the previous drought to them, I’m not so sure about this rain.
As uncomfortable and inconvenient as it is, with so many fatally stressed trees falling and snapping powerlines willy-nilly to humans’ great consternation, it somehow does not feel malevolent. Even the floods and landslides many areas are experiencing could be necessary in some cosmic schematic that ordinary humans aren’t privy to.
Easy for me to say, since I’m not feeling the brunt of this particular weather extreme at the moment.
Perhaps that’s the practical challenge so many of us face these days. We believe or feel that there’s benevolence, a movement toward inevitable Light, within many planetary circumstances and events. Even tragedies and deaths, beloved human family members succumbing to vaccine side effects or other “medical treatments,” are perhaps fated. While I believe humans have been manipulated and negatively affected to a greater degree than whatever was “meant,“ surely there is still an underpinning of genuine karmic resolution occurring right now.
I certainly hope so. And I hope that, like Matthew Ward has frequently said, when karma or soul contracts have been bulldozed over by the clumsy thrashing of the dark forces, that soul’s karma is benevolently shifted in ways that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. That soul contract can be instantly pulverized and reformed in a new pattern, a pattern for the benefit of that soul.
Because, no matter how it seems to our human perception, somehow, all is inevitably rolling toward the Light.
That’s a thought I’m going to hold onto with both hands and all my heart over the coming weeks and months. The twists and turns of the rollercoaster ride have morphed themselves beyond recognition. I don’t know what’s coming or what’s happening right now, and I don’t fully believe or disbelieve anything I’m getting from outside sources.
Rather than untrusting or cynical, that equanimity seems both practical and soulfully inclined. It’s a way to find peace within the uncertainty, and I never turn down an invitation toward peace.
