I’m experiencing forgetfulness.
I was on a Zoom call the other day and three out of six of us were experiencing it. For the first time in years, I felt some comradeship in my dilemma.
Given that I don’t appear to be alone in this, and given that I’ve been fortunate to know from Archangel Michael what it’s all about, I feel a responsibility to share my experience, even though most people might probably want to hide it.
My extreme forgetfulness is not obvious to you. It’s only obvious in person. I can forget what I was saying in mid-sentence.
It took me a long time to accurately understand the situation because I was mis-interpreting it. But I’ll come to that in a moment.
Matthew has mentioned the cause of the condition:
“On a different front but also due to increasingly higher vibrations, many are experiencing conditions such as weakness, disorientation, forgetfulness, fatigue, sudden mood swings and other uncustomary sensations.” (1)
We’ll see here that others support his diagnosis.
Michael raised the matter with me in an early (April 2011) discussion. Out of the blue, so to speak:
AAM: I want to reassure you of your physical health. You are not having memory problems and the breaking of a thought pattern, should it occur again, because I want you to be clear on what we are trying to do together, it would be because I am trying to redirect you. (2)
As an aside, don’t overlook noticing how an archangel works with his devotee. Here he actually acknowledges redirecting his devotee’s attention.
A year and a half later, he could say: “You are straddling dimensions right now.” (3)
However I was still having memory problems. I mentioned them to Sanat Kumara in 2014, after listing his chief Gaian incarnations:
“I have to say, [listing these off] is an amazing feat for me because my memory is not working very well these days. It’s been taken away [redirected]. So, the fact that I can recall this is astonishing me.” (4)
I interpreted “redirected” as “taken away.” But “taken away” was a blunt tool, as we see, because I can remember Sanat’s Earth appearances.
However until writing this series, I’ve been operating on the assumption that my memory had been taken away, rather than redirected.
By 2015 Michael could say:
“You are most certainly in the fourth, edging into the fifth. That is why so many of you are experiencing such rapid, and in many cases tumultuous issues of change including: the memory issues, the mental fogginess issues, some of the rapid ‘change in body’ issues.” (5)
By 2016, Michael seemed to suggest that “redirection” had been successful:
AAM: You are not connected [to 3D]. You are claiming your true higher dimensional, interdimensional self. And in that, the ties, even the threads, to the old Third are gone. (6)
All of this was given fresh urgency when my brother Paul came down with dementia and began declining. Paul later died from conditions that accompany dementia.
I discussed the subject with Michael and he said he knew that I’d been worried about it a couple of years earlier.
Steve: Is [my brother’s] future to go increasingly into dementia?
Archangel Michael: Not necessarily. Now that is the thing. And you, of all people know, although your symptoms and your experience has been very different. And that is also a very clear indicator and a gift to you, my beloved brother, for you to know that in fact, what you had been experiencing is not dementia.
Steve: What I personally had been experiencing in myself is not dementia?
AAM: That is correct.
Steve: Did I ever have that thought?
AAM: Oh yes, about a year and ½, two years ago you had that great fear.
Steve: Oh okay. I seem to recall it vaguely.
AAM: It is not something we are asking you to take out on a daily basis and look at. (7)
The next year (2019), the Lord Arcturus provided further explanation of where my attention was being sent. He’s here stating part of my mission; I encourage you to consider that the same”direction” is being done with you.
Lord Arcturus: Now, you have come to a planet in this and in other lifetimes to assist – yes, through communication, through clarity – with the progression of the planet through the elimination of the old third, which was really quite disastrous [to] the progression up through the fifth, through the six, to the seventh so that the planetary system will reside in a level of higher consciousness, Christed consciousness as you think of it.
Now in order to do that, it is highly beneficial – and this is where mutuality comes in – that you would have, not only the intelligence but the perspective of the higher dimensions (it is not a hierarchy but it is different).
And so the perspective say of the ninth dimension is very different than the perspective of say the third, the fifth or the seventh dimension.
Because it is very important that humanity realize, as they are in their unfoldment to a grander plan, that the seventh dimension is not the end of the road, not the be all and end all.
And so, [we have given you] some of the perspective, the experience, the knowing, the intelligence of different dimensionality. (8)
My journalistic beat then, so to speak, is really not the Third-Dimensional waterfront. It’s the higher realms. And you’ve seen that gradually happen over the last eight years (since the heart opening)
In 2020 the Lord Arcturus was giving me permission to remove my foot from the Third Dimension.
Lord Arcturus: The dilemma for you is that you have one foot in both worlds. You are spiritually ready to take the three-dimensional foot out and put it with the other one in the higher. (9)
Apparently he was trying to redirect my attention from the Third Dimension to dimensionality itself.
Tomorrow, I return to my growing concern for possible dementia, in part because most people around me were concerned, in part because I was worried over looming responsibilities.

Archangel Michael: Let me tell you a secret. And it is a secret that I wish for you to share, far and wide. With the opening of your heart, of any person’s heart, (and even when they believe that they have opened their heart), there is always room for greater and greater, and grander and bigger openings.
As you well know, the Mother’s love is infinite. As a person’s heart opens more and more, their mental clarity gets sharper and sharper and sharper. So when someone is thinking about, or trying to deal with, something like dementia, then what they do is open their heart. It feels counterintuitive but in fact that, and that alone, is the solution.
Steve: Now, you say open their heart but there are two kinds of “opening your heart.” One is a heart opening and the other is the human action. But the human action is not anywhere near as powerful as a heart opening.
AAM: No, but when one is daily, moment-to-moment, practising the opening of their heart, acting, behaving, receiving, sending love, that is a very good precursor and can even act as a catalyst, to heart opening. (AAM, April 30, 2019.)
I hope you made a note of that: “When one is daily, moment-to-moment, practising the opening of their heart, acting, behaving, receiving, sending love, that is a very good precursor and can even act as a catalyst, to a heart opening.”
Daily practice is a catalyst. He had told me previously that my own drawing up of love had primed the pump for my own heart opening. Here he confirms it as an effective general practice.
