It wasn’t only the Divine Mother who asked us to be on the receiving end of donations. Archangel Michael did as well:

Steve: Is it really in the Plan that we continue to approach readers month by month?

AAM: Barring [the Reval], yes, because what human beings are learning, again, is this ebb and flow [of receive and give] and the many expressions of love and of sharing. (1)

This was in preference to changing a few zeroes in our bank account or raining money down on us:

Archangel Michael: It does not mean that we can not put money in a bank account because we can. (2)

AAM: We do not simply send down rains of money — although that can happen as well. (3)

A-ha!

Through this process of appearing before you, I’ve been able to take sandpaper to the awkwardness and other unpleasant feelings I’ve felt since childhood, around asking and receiving.

On the one hand, the gift of giving for me is the love that flows up from my heart and out to the other person in the act of giving.  I get to experience that love as it flows through me.

I’ve purchased the experience of love for as long as it lasts. Or until I give again, which I can’t wait to do.

On the other hand, the gift of receiving for me lies in observing my resistance to being seen, getting to drop it, allowing modesty and humility to rise of themselves (because they’re already there, right?), and experiencing love again in thanking the giver.

Asking and receiving seem to invite the divine qualities and, out of the whole of this Earth-life experience, the divine qualities are what I want.

They also invite the flow of what St. Germaine has called “receive and give, receive and give,” the new paradigm of abundance. (4)

Receiving has also led me to let go of worry.  It’s an article of faith that Michael has it all organized.  At the end of the day, I don’t believe we’re destined to fold our tents and disappear. Far from it, according to him. (5) But, each month, the decision rests with you.
