Psst! Over here. Yah, you. Come over here.
Listen. I’ve just been waiting for someone like you to come along. I wanna tell you a secret.
Here it is. Ready? The Self lies in the seat of the soul. Yah, yah, yah, that’s what I said.
The Self lies in the bottom of the heart, the seat of the soul. Yah, you got it.
The Self lies in the deepest part of the heart. So guess what? You say you haven’t realized the Self? Then you haven’t reached the bottom of the heart, the seat of the soul.
Now that can be done in many ways. And I’m no teacher. I’m giving you a big tip. And then you can mosey along and do with it what you will.
One way is to become so godlike in your behavior that there’s no obstruction (like vasanas or core issues) between you as the observer and your Self as something thought to be separate. (This separation is the whole illusion, right, man?) You’ll have reached the Self through purification.
Or you can do as I did and meditate, imagining that you’re travelling down through the heart to its very end. Keep going. And going.
Yah, yah, yah. I know. You know it already, but tuck that away, huh? It’s a treasure map.
The Self lies in the deepest part of the heart, in a cul de sac known as “the Seat of the Soul.”
