It’s not possible for me to cover the waterfront, so to speak. I’ll have to limit myself to highlights and mostly North-American coverage.
Even there, events are happening quickly.

Trudeau Revokes Emergency Powers Act
Watch live:
And here, he says he’s ‘confident that existing laws and bylaws are now sufficient to keep people safe.’
Two days after Canadian lawmakers voted to extend emergency powers allowing police to quell potential unrest, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is now set to revoke them now that the Ottawa protest is over, according to the Canadian Press, citing two senior government sources.
Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act for the first time last week, saying police required additional support to end blockades.
We assume that bank accounts of Freedom Convoy supporters are still subject to being frozen.
Thousands of people, hundreds of trucks ignore Emergencies Act to convoy in Edmonton
In Alberta, people wanting an end to the remaining COVID restrictions were unafraid and undeterred by Justin Trudeau’s authoritarian crackdown on dissent.

The significance of this announcement is that it comes from Brighteon as an editorial
Canadian bank runs appear to be under way as the Trudeau regime declares war on citizens
Brighteon, email.
Thanks to the tyrannical actions of Chrystia Freeland — a Davos group devotee and the Deputy Prime Minister of Canada — the people of Canada are now rapidly withdrawing their funds from Canada’s largest banks. Two days ago, Freeland announced that Canada’s financial terrorism laws would be expanded to seize all funds — bank accounts, crypto, crowdfunding hubs, etc. — belonging to individuals who supported the peaceful convoy trucker protest.
And just like that, Chrystia Freeland broke the social contract between bank retail customers and the banks themselves. In one fell swoop, Freeland red pilled the entire nation into understanding that their money isn’t safe in any bank in Canada, since the government can now seize all your private funds without due process, evidence or any rule of law.
Making good on the threat, not only have private bank accounts been seized by the Canadian government regime, Trudeau has ordered crypto exchanges to seize the funds of 34 crypto wallets now named by the government itself.
Many of the “police” drawing guns are not police at all but probably “UN troops”; i.e., mercenaries.
Liberals went haywire after New York Times said cops drew guns on Ottawa protesters
The NYT didn’t get the memo to protect the Trudeau narrative at all costs.

On last night’s episode of The Ezra Levant Show, we looked at the social media meltdowns after the New York Times accurately stated that police in Ottawa had drawn guns while clearing out the trucker protest.
Here’s a bit of what Ezra had to say:
“But there were pictures right in that New York Times article of guns.
“Why are Canadian journalists trying so hard to get the Times to NOT report something. Even if the Times were wrong, which it obviously isn’t, why are these Canadian journalists reporting about the Times instead of reporting about the news? Why are they anti-reporting, un-reporting, counter-reporting?”
This is just an excerpt of The Ezra Levant Show.
Trudeau Liberals freeze $8 million from Freedom Convoy participants, supporters
No minimum financial benchmark was established by the federal government pertaining to support of the Freedom Convoy.

The Department of Finance admitted that donations as small as $20 could cause a bank to freeze access to a customers’ cash if the contribution in support of the Freedom Convoy was made after February 15, when the Trudeau Liberals labelled the convoy protest an illegal assembly.
An exchange documented by Blacklock’s Reporter between MPs on the House finance committee and Isabelle Jacques, the assistant deputy finance minister, revealed that there was no basement benchmark for the size of donation that could result in unbanking and that even mortgages of convoy-friendly folks are in the feds’ crosshairs.
“To my knowledge, it is over 206 accounts and the total value, the latest number I have, was approximately $7.8 million,” said Jacques. “We know those accounts are personal and commercial accounts. It’s a mixture of the two.”
“It could be a savings account, a chequing account, a mortgage?” asked Conservative MP Adam Chambers (Simcoe North, Ont.). “That’s accurate,” replied Assistant Deputy Jacques.
“If someone gave $20 to the Freedom Convoy through a crowdsourcing platform they could have their bank account frozen?” asked Conservative MP Philip Lawrence (Northumberland-Peterborough South, Ont.). “If that person gave the money after February 15 it is possible,” replied Jacques.
“I think that would be in rare circumstances,” said Jacques. “But not impossible?” asked MP Lawrence. “It is possible,” replied Jacques.
“What is the smallest denomination of donation or contribution that has resulted in the freezing of an account?” asked New Democrat MP Daniel Blaikie (Elmwood-Transcona, Man.). “I would not be able to provide you with that answer,” replied Jacques.
Interim Ottawa police Chief Steve Bell has promised to hunt down and charge anyone involved in the protests.
The Freedom Convoy that travelled to Ottawa was in the nation’s capital for nearly four weeks, with thousands of truckers and others converging on the city to protest COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, including the vaccine mandate for cross-border truckers.

Washington D.C. in protest convoys ahead of Biden’s State of the Union
‘We’re not coming there just to starve them,’ an organizer reportedly said. ‘We’re going to choke you like a boa constrictor and you’ll have nothing.’

Days after the Trudeau government in Canada invoked the Emergencies Act to end the “Freedom Convoy” trucker-led protests in Ottawa, truck drivers in the United States have announced plans to partake in a similar convoy to Washington D.C. ahead of President Biden’s State of the Union address on March 1.
Police in the district are expected to deploy civil disturbance units in preparation for the possible trucker convoys that could cause major gridlocks in the area, WUSA9 reported.
One of the organizers, Bob Bolus, who owns a trucking company in Scranton, Pennsylvania, says he planned on starting his convoy to D.C. on Wednesday morning. Bolus stressed that the demonstration would be peaceful but outlined the major disruption the trucks could cause on the Capital Beltway.
“We’re not coming there just to starve them,” Bolus reportedly said. “We’re going to choke you like a boa constrictor and you’ll have nothing.”
Speaking to the news channel, Bolus listed a variety of issues the truckers were protesting, including vaccine mandates, trucker rights, increased fuel prices and taxes, and critical race theory.
“We’re leaving lanes open for emergency vehicles, and we’re sending a message to the people in D.C. that you voted for these people,” he said.
A previous truck convoy that was tentatively announced for the Super Bowl failed to materialize, but U.S. Capitol Police said authorities are aware of the plans for convoys to arrive around the State of the Union address.
“The United States Capitol Police and the United States Secret Service have been closely working together to plan for the upcoming State of the Union,” the statement read. “The temporary inner-perimeter fence is part of those ongoing discussions and remains an option, however at this time no decision has been made.”

The would-be convoy has prompted one Democrat lawmaker to call for the trucks of participating protesters to be seized by the U.S. government.
“Perfect time to impound and give the trucks to small trucking companies looking to expand their business,” said Democrat Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) in response to a news headline: “Trucker convoy could shut down D.C. Beltway tomorrow.”
“Law enforcement agencies in Maryland, Virginia and D.C. are monitoring what could be a number of trucker convoys coming to D.C.,” an NBC Washington report said. “Truckers apparently spurred on by the recent protests in Canada want their voices heard, but the extent of the protests and how disruptive they may be is still unclear.”
Gallego’s demand was not well met by conservative voices on social media, who slammed the Democrat for following Trudeau’s lead.
“Also known as theft,” radio host and former NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch suggested.
“Siding with foreign dictators,” said author and Town Hall columnist Kurt Schlichter.
“You’re an embarrassment,” wrote Libertarian candidate for Georgia governor Shane Hazel.
“Typical Democrat. Never pass up a chance to steal what other people have earned,” said author Mike Partyka.
Claremont Institute fellow Jon Schweppe wrote, “At least the fascists are out of the closet now.”
Many others pointed out how seizing the protesters’ trucks would be in direct violation of the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which states that “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated.”
