What am I getting wrong here? A “false flag” is when we attack ourselves and blame it on the enemy.
Many wars – the Spanish-American War, the Chinese invasion of Manchuria, the German invasion of Poland, the Vietnamese War (Gulf of Tonkin incident), etc. – have all been false flags staged to justify the start of a war.
It isn’t a false flag when you yourself carry the offending flag. That’s just an egregious error.
So why would a “counter” protest against the truckers feature a Communist flag? Is that not like shooting yourself in the foot?
Some time ago a Nazi flag showed up on Parliament Hill and people – thanks to the press – immediately associated it with the truckers. We probably can expect more false flags before the protest is over.
