Folks, you’ll notice editors on the blog are doing whatever they can to pay their way in life. Suzi has opened a Patreon news service. Kathleen is offering readings, selling masks, etc.
I suggested to Michael that I could offer writing services and he said no.
These people, and others like Linda Dillon and David Icke, are doing all they can to make their way in life while still serving the lightworker readership.
The Golden Age of Gaia has changed its policy a little by recognizing that people need to make ends meet; we’re now advertising a very small number of events.
In some cases that takes the form of posting hyperlinked booking addresses. In some cases that means actually posting advertisements.
We’re not open to a general posting of ads yet because, regrettably, we don’t have the room for it right now, although we certainly will after the Reval when we can afford to expand. We’ll do that as a public service, not as a way for us to make money. Our money comes from dana or donations.
I’ve had to answer some pretty offensive emails recently suggesting we’re “selling Ascension” and similar suggestions by allowing ads.
Gosh, that hurts.
Let’s take one example of an ad. Linda Dillon is training lightworkers to serve when the populace suddenly begins to wake up. In my view, that’s what we should be doing. Pre-emptively.
If Linda cannot pay her way somehow, she won’t be able to do her work.
She has costs that we don’t have, such as audio-visual and other equipment. She stages largescale events. We don’t have these expenses.
I don’t consider Linda to be “selling Ascension.” Her work is liberating lightworkers from such things as core issues (what I call vasanas) so that they’re more in touch with their self-worth (i.e., they get bigger) and can serve in the circumstances they’ll soon be facing (which will be bigger than any they’ve faced so far).
If serving lightworkers can’t win support from the general lightworker public, how are they to do their work?
Without your support, I could not continue. I depend exclusively on your donations. (1)
I know that many of you are experiencing similar financial hardship. We of course are not asking for help from those who cannot afford it. My heart grieves that we’re not able to help you, rather than you helping us. Soon that situation will lift and we will be able to help you.
So allow me to thank you for your compassionate consideration on the matter of helping us pay our way in the world in exchange for our services. My understanding is that the Mother wants it to be this way so that all of us could learn to receive and give, receive and give, so that all of us could be pipelines. (2)
Footnotes
(1) A reader has written in saying I don’t rely exclusively on donations. That’s true. Let me rephrase myself.
I don’t do extra work, which the other editors are doing (this is the way in which I rely on donations “exclusively”).
I do get Canadian pensions. Their amount does not come close to paying my rent. So I rely on your donations to make it in life.
Without your donations, we’d all of us here have to pack our tents. I hope that clarifies.
Thank you, everyone, for making it possible by your donations to put out the Golden Age of Gaia.
(2) I think she wants us all to have practice in giving and receiving. After all, the post-Reval economy will in large measure be donor-based. The Michaelangelo Fund, for instance, will be financing universal basic incomes and other programs. That work is donor work. So practicing giving and receiving will be a useful skill and art.
