We’re Not in Kansas Anymore

Amidst all the confusion, uncertainty, loss of income (for many) and collective fear that’s being generated by all this – the search for the truth – at least in my mind – is of paramount urgency. I’ve written this to share some of the puzzle pieces I’ve found and establish a context so that you might engage in your own, critical line of reasoning.

Over the last 6 weeks, we’ve all be experiencing the unchartered territory of Covid-19 – along with the rest of the world’s population. And like most of you, I’ve been following the protocols of sheltering in place, only going out for essential necessities, sanitizing products that come into our home and doing what I can to “wait this out.”

And like most of you, I’ve been following the news on television – hanging on every statistic, new development and report – in the hopes of finding information that will lead to a light at the end of this tunnel. ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, MSNBC, CNN, BCC – they’re all presenting very similar narratives about what’s really going on – a “single story” – if you will.

But for anyone who knows me – I’m a critical thinker and social scientist. I rarely take things at face value – and routinely engage in deep dives to collect as much divergent information as I can before rendering a judgment or arriving at a conclusion. I then take all of the pieces of information I’ve gathered and see which, if any, fit together – in order to form a cohesive picture.

Since the outbreak and lock-down went into effect – I’ve been puzzled. I don’t know about you – but too much of what’s played out (according to mainstream news outlets) – just hasn’t added up. From competing explanations over the origins of Covid – to inconsistencies of how things have, or will be, addressed – the lack of cohesion makes it difficult to reconcile. The narrative seems to change daily – while reports of personal experiences posted by private citizens on social media contradict the “party line” we all absorb on television.

As an Applied Social Psychologist – I’ve specialized in social justice issues for the last 25 years – and have come to the conclusion that there appears to be two broad Camps when it comes to how we perceive the governance of society.

Camp One

The government can, and should, be trusted – without question.

The United States is a democracy and the government is “of the people, by the people and for the people”.

The Constitution provides us with civil rights and liberties that are guaranteed and enforceable under law.

The social institutions of government, health care, education, mass media and industry all work with the best interest of the citizenry in mind – and can be trusted to promote our well-being.

America stands for freedom and our military presence and engagement around the globe is there to serve and protect democracy and should be honored and supported.

The FDA does a good job of insuring our food supply is healthy and free of toxic additives that can compromise our health. Prescription drugs are thoroughly tested and safe – or they wouldn’t be marketed.

The version of history that’s taught in public schools is accurate and correct. Historical facts are complete, unbiased and truthful.

Camp Two

From its inception, the United States was never intended to be a democracy – but rather a Republic designed to serve, promote and perpetuate the status quo of those in power.

The Constitution was originally designed to apply only to white, wealthy males – which is why the abolishment of slavery, voting rights for non-whites and women, and anti-discrimination clauses were all added as amendments – after the fact – and only after tremendous struggle, protest and the loss of lives.

Because the government has engaged in prior deception and the intentional misrepresentation of facts – blind trust has not been earned – and motives should be questioned.

The social institutions of government, health care, education, mass media and industry are aligned in the agenda to promote the narrative and status of those in power – with the unstated goal of maximizing social control and profit – while socializing ignorance and conformity into the masses – under the guise of freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

America has never stood for authentic equality and social justice – and our military presence and engagement around the globe represents a strong arm of imperialism – designed to dominate and overpower others in alignment with the agenda stated in the bullet point above.

The American food supply is laden with saturated fat, sodium and chemical additives that deplete our health and promote chronic disease. Pharmaceutical drugs are not adequately researched to determine safety – and are mass marketed to the public with numerous harmful, and often fatal, consequences.

The version of history taught in schools promotes the narrative of those in power and presents information in selective and biased ways. Facts are skewed to depict historical icons as “heroes” despite their crimes against humanity – while the realities of disempowered groups are glossed over or obscured.

Now, regardless of where one’s ideology might fall – the fact remains that we have all been impacted by the Covid scenario – and will all be subject to whatever government regulations come to pass. This raises many questions. Are we just going wait this out? Are we going to resume our economy – and at what expense? Are we ever going to return to our “normal” lives? Will a vaccine be our ticket to freedom or further illness and oppression?

The cognitive dissonance created by these uncertainties is placing tremendous physiological, psychological, social and financial strain on everyone. Something has to give. But dissonance can only be resolved through the reconciliation of conflicting information – in other words – some closure about what is happening – and how all of this will play out.

To date, we have no idea where, when, why or how Covid came about – and the truth may, or may not, ever come to light. Whether Covid is an organic contagion that “just so happened” to arise at this time – or – was an engineered contagion that was either purposely or accidentally released by China and/or the U.S. or some other entity – we may never know.

But here’s what we do know:

The world, as we know it, has suddenly and drastically changed

We are now under governmental mandates to close our businesses and avoid all social interaction – unless absolutely essential for survival

Millions, world-wide, have been thrown into unemployment, poverty, hunger and financial dependency upon their governments for survival

We are all undergoing various amounts of stress, fear and uncertainty

We are all desperate to regain some “normalcy”, freedom and liberty

And most importantly – given this situation – most of us would jump at any opportunity that would allow us to resume our lives

But we also know this:

The 1st amendment to the Constitution prohibits any law that restricts the freedom of expression and the right to peacefully assemble

Google, YouTube and Facebook have now enacted mass censoring protocols and the removal of any and all communications that challenge, question or provide information that contradicts the narrative of main stream media – that of the CDC or the World Health Organization (WHO)

Various proposed treatments for Covid have been categorically rejected by leading authorities such as Dr. Fauci of the NIH – due to the lack of demonstrated efficacy through valid, time-tested, scientific research methods – which makes sense…

Except…fast-tracked vaccination protocols have now been put into effect – despite the same lack of demonstrated efficacy through valid, time-tested, scientific research methods

There is documented evidence – if not a historical trend – of the United States government enacting sterilization procedures on “less desirable” groups – based on the premise of Eugenics Programs – that routinely took place throughout the 20th century

While I fully understand our urgency in finding a way out of this Covid tunnel – is fast-tracking a poorly researched vaccine really the answer – especially when, and if, the vaccine becomes mandatory in order for an individual to “return to their normal life”?

Bill Gates – a software designer and one of the wealthiest men on the planet – has gone on record with the following statement:

April 6, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, as well as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, said life after COVID-19 will not be the same “for some time,” or at least until the population is “widely vaccinated.”

Since Mr. Gates is the primary funder of the World Health Organization and a long-time promoter of population control through vaccines and “health care” – should it not raise a series of fair questions in the mind of any thinking individual that a soft-ware, technology mogul is posturing as a medical expert? Would there not be an inherent conflict of interest in his advocating so strongly for mass vaccination – when this is fully in line with his stated global agenda presented 10 years prior to the current Covid scenario? And in what possible line of reasoning would “health care” be linked to global depopulation – as Gates proposed? Shouldn’t health care promote life and longevity?

The most recent development comes in the form of President Trump doing a 180 on his previous anti-vaccination stance. He has now announced “Operation Warp Speed” – which fast-tracks a vaccination protocol in line with Bill Gate’s concept of mass, mandatory inoculations. Known as ID2020 – the vaccine would assign every inoculated person a digital “ID Passport” – allowing them to resume their normal activities – essentially penalizing and/or restricting/confining anyone who refuses to comply.

Any legitimate scientist or medical expert can attest to the fact that the efficacy and safety of any drug, let alone a mandatory vaccine, cannot be empirically verified without years of research and clinical trials.

Look – I get it. We’re all feeling confused, frightened, frustrated, uncertain and desperate right now. We all want an answer – and are anxious to find a key that will unlock the door to normalcy. But I’m asking – no pleading – that each of you to take a long, hard look at how this is shaping up. I’m asking that you to do your own research, find your own pieces – and connect the dots.

We all have “analysis paralysis” right now. With so much information – and conflicting information – coming at us from all angles – it’s easy to take the path of least resistance of “going along to get along” – just to gain some semblance of predictability and peace of mind.

It’s easy to just flip on the TV and accept, on blind faith, whatever reports are being shared. And it’s easy to assign labels of “conspiracy theory” to any information that contradicts the main-stream narrative – just to avoid the discomfort of re-evaluating our perspectives on reality.

The dictionary defines the term “conspiracy” as “a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful.” And for those who ascribe to the Camp One perspective I spoke about earlier – it’s especially difficult to imagine that those in charge of making policy decisions may have anything less than altruistic motives.

But as I’ve previous outlined – history has provided ample evidence that the need for power, profit and control has guided many of the policies that have impacted our lives in unlawful and harmful ways. The link at the bottom of this page is an interview conducted with Dr. Rashid Buttar – a specialist in medical toxicology. To date, YouTube and Facebook have censored and deleted his podcasts and interviews in ever increasing numbers. I searched long and hard to locate one that does a good job of presenting his findings in one location through an alternative media site. I’m not a subscriber of this site – nor do I vouch for the integrity or efficacy of the interviewer or his platform.

However – much of what Dr. Buttar shared in this interview connects with the research I’ve done. I only ask that you watch it and do with it what you will. If by chance, you don’t dismiss it out of hand – then pass it along. But at the very least – perhaps it will provide you with information that you’ll never encounter on any television news program or mass media outlet.

Friends – this has gone way beyond the typical Democrat vs. Republican, Right Wing vs. Left Wing, Liberal vs. Conservative polarizations. This has become an issue of collective Human Rights that will impact every one of us into the foreseeable future. It’s safe to say – we’re not in Kansas anymore.

This sudden and dramatic disruption to the lives we once knew may be offering more than a crisis. Perhaps, it’s a blessing in disguise – providing us with an unprecedented opportunity to reflect on the nature of our economic, social and personal lives so that a new, more sustainable and joyful reality may come into focus. We find ourselves at a fork in the road – and the path we choose is entirely up to us.
