When off-duty firefighter Stephen Siller could not drive through the Brooklyn Bridge on 9/11, he parked his vehicle and ran to the South Tower, where he perished saving lives.
A foundation was created to look after the needs of injured firefighters or the families of deceased. It features a marathon run from the place Stephen Siller parked his car to the South Tower in memory of everyone who perished on that day.
