In the course of looking at the subject of raising our vibrations, Kathleen came across material that called it a matter of physics. That was for me a new way of looking at things.
It whetted my appetite and I went looking for material on how “the laws of physics that govern life,” as Matthew Ward calls them, (1) work, how far they apply, what they can tell us about raising vibrations, etc.
What follows is an overview of what’s said, put together to help me understand universal law and the methods of increasing vibration better.
I’ve restricted myself to Matthew’s messages because he addresses the subject most often. Even so, what he says is still mostly very general.
The laws of physics don’t just govern matters on Earth, Matthew tells us.
“The laws of physics, in your world, … govern not only Earth energy usage and cause and effect, but cosmos-wide.” (2)
“Earth energy usage and cause and effect”: So those are the two areas of life where “the laws of physics” come into play.
Let’s look first at how energy works according to the laws of physics. He raises the subject in the course of commenting on the usefulness of petitions in one article:
“Now then, a word about petitions. The energy you put forth in reading and signing those for causes you deem worthy not only increases their effectiveness, but the laws of physics that govern life in this universe intensify that energy and direct it wherever on Earth light is needed. Please continue to sign petitions!” (3)
So the energy generated by participating in worthy causes like petitions is intensified and used wherever needed, according to the laws of physics that govern life. And that raises our collective frequency, I’m sure. That’s an interesting way of seeing it.
Send forth the energy of love and that’s what we get in return; hostility, that’s what we get, he tells us. It’s strictly science.
“Through the laws of physics that govern life in this world, low vibrations manifest more of themselves: They shoot out into the universal soup and bring back to you more of the very same kinds of vibrations.
“The same laws apply to the high vibrations of compassion and love, of course, and in far greater measure because the light in those emotions is so much more powerful than the negativity in low vibrations.
“Think of an electric fan, how much more effectively it functions when its setting is on high. Emotional vibrations work like that too, with the difference that a fan has to be turned on and emotions are instantaneous responses to thoughts. Thoughts also emit vibrations, which is why changing a thought from negative to positive automatically uplifts your spirits—you started vibrating ‘on high.’
“That isn’t just an idea that can help you feel more at ease; it is science. Everything comes from—and is—energy, which is neutral, impartial and has no reasoning ability. Without the capacity to differentiate ‘good’ from ‘bad,’ energy simply follows the instructions you give it via your thoughts and feelings, and that is where physics’ law of attraction, or like attracts like, comes in. Send forth the energy of love’s high vibrations and scientifically you reap the grand harvest from what you have sown.” (4)
What you sew you reap is, therefore, strictly science. I like the metaphor. It does help me to understand the subject – in layman’s language.
Elsewhere he returns to the subject:
“Through the physics that governs life in this universe, energy generated anywhere shoots out into space, attracts and attaches itself to the nearest similar energy and, like a boomerang, returns with that reinforcement. Because Earth’s streamers at duality’s negative end are being sent out in abundance, they are attracting and bringing back exactly what they sent out. This immutable law of attraction is why your world still is steeped in turmoil.
“And this is why we have urged you to focus on what you want in your lives and your world! The many who are preoccupied with thinking about what they don’t want and their anxiety, discouragement, anger, sorrow and impatience about those situations are creating more of them in their personal lives and the world. Those kinds of thoughts and feelings are fraught with the negativity that prolongs the situations that they want ended!” (5)
OK, that’s good advice.
The laws of physics apparently operate on our relationships as well:
“The ‘like attracts like’ law of physics also connects persons who are kindred spirits energetically. Relationships – in families, workplaces, community activities or national organizations – that are based on that foundation will endure; those that are not, won’t. With the understanding that the goal of all souls is to grow in spiritual and conscious awareness, there can be amiable agreement when parting ways offers opportunities for that advancement.” (6)
Wars will cease, again by the laws of physics. As we ascend, nothing negative can follow us, Matthew says.
“Wars, violence, deception, oppression and media censorship will cease incrementally as the dark hearts and minds among you leave the planet.
“It can be no other way—simply, this is the physics that governs life in this universe. As Earth continues apace into successively higher planes, nothing with low vibrations in any form—physical bodies, subversive plans, theft, dishonesty, unjust laws and imprisonment, bigotry, cruel customs and deeds—can survive.” (7)
And again:
“Most people don’t know … that the law of physics governing life in this universe holds that nothing with the low frequency vibrations of darkness can enter the high vibrations of fourth density. This includes physical bodies, activities, plans, dogmas, laws, customs, rituals—everything devised with dark intent to control the populace; everything that is harmful to body, mind and spirit; everything that for millennia kept your world mired in third density will be ending within months.” (8)
Whether a person survives the shift to a higher vibration or not is again a matter of science, Matthew says:
“By the laws of physics that govern life in this universe, a closed mind cannot absorb the light that enables physical survival in the higher vibrations of fourth density. Earth’s residents in her Golden Age will choose to live in peace and harmony with each other and with all of Nature.” (9)
“It is simply the physics governing life in this universe that bodies bereft of light cannot survive in those higher vibrations. In short, all those who have been causing fearful conditions will be disappearing.” (10)
In the afterlife world now, our vibratory level decides where we reside:
“Nirvana [Matthew’s name for the afterworld] comprises many flexible energy layers, and in accordance with the laws of physics that govern life in this universe, souls transitioning from Earth automatically are drawn to the layer that is commensurate with their lifetime energy that was registered moment by moment in the infallible Akashic records.” (11)
It isn’t Gaia who decides who will go forward and who will not, Matthew tells us. It’s simply physics.
“It is not Earth who decides which of her beloved children will make the trip with her—she wants ALL to go!—and it is not an arbitrary basis that determines who goes and who doesn’t; it is just plain physics.
“The light of raised consciousness and spiritual clarity—the knowing that all life in this universe is inseparably connected with God and all other souls, and living accordingly—carries a frequency that enables physical survival in the energy planes where Earth is heading.
“Those who ignore the urging of their souls and instead choose to stay oblivious to this universal truth, do not have that light; and without it, they remain in their lower frequency that prevents bodies from surviving in higher energy planes.” (12)
Matthew also explains the return of balance to the world through the increase of the Light and the decrease of the dark as matters of physics:
“Balance is the reconciliation of light and dark, but since the dark resists proximity to the light, darkness keeps dimming until there is only light in its full brilliance. Thus in light there is the balance that was achieved and in darkness there is none because it withdrew from that state in its choice to avoid being near light, which it fears. That rather personifies those vastly differing frequencies that are physics automatically at work within universal laws governing energy.” (13)
Everything in future that sees the manifestation of a world that works will also be by physics:
“Everything about Earth will be altered in the higher densities in consonance with the physics that enable and govern an optimum environment for life to flourish on the planet.” (14)
Sometimes when we hear the same truth said in another way – instead of “universal laws” “the laws of physics” – the penny drops. For reasons probably peculiar to myself, I feel my own understanding of the notion of universal laws helped a great deal by the use of the metaphor of “the laws of physics.”

Some in the dark camp have died, and during the remainder of the year, along with the souls who choose not to stay on the planet for other reasons, the rest of the dark ones will be leaving due to the same kinds of lethal conditions that have caused death all along. Some may live long enough to be prosecuted for their criminal acts, and yes, if a person died and clones carried on, the laws will apply to the last clone because continuing the person’s illegal or ungodly ways was the purpose of cloning.
“When those times come, we urge you not to despise the persons, but rather their acts against humanity, and then let go of that negative emotion. Hatred, resentment and desire for revenge teem with low vibrations whereas forgiveness is so light-filled that forgivers take leaps in spiritual growth. All light sent forth to persons who became captives of darkness strengthens these weakest in our universal family, and that enables all souls to move closer toward reintegration with God.” (Ibid., Apr. 1, 2012.)
His timeline is off, as has been that of anyone who has ever put a date to anything, but the process he describes is, in my view, undoubtedly sound.
