One of our news editors, Lindsey Nobles, is going to be offline for some time dealing with moving her household and with life passages. We’ll miss her offerings on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, but we also honor that she needs some weeks to reestablish her life in a new home.
If we have special editions of the news from a couple of our new contributing news editors to run on those days, we will. Otherwise, the absence of the news on these days may invite our readers to take a look around on the internet for themselves.
This is a daunting task, sifting through the daily news out there to pull out the gems and the items of specific interest for our community. For myself, I’ve been very happy to have our wonderful news crew do this for me and not have to gather it up myself.
I’d like to honor the service to us that this specialized crew has been doing. I hope our readers will too, and not be lost in resentment if the news doesn’t appear each day without fail on our pages.
The news is a popular feature here, but it’s also a courtesy for us to provide it. In other words, it’s not our main focus as a platform and it’s not a must have. It’s an act of love offered in devotion by community members who are volunteers.
