I started out my associations with the Golden Age of Gaia blog by joining the community forum at Yahoogroups.com.
The name of the blog back then was The 2012 Scenario and the name of the forum was The 2012 Scenario Discussion Group. It’s now called Golden Gaia Discussion Group, but will soon be replaced by our new forum, Gaia Scene.
A series of synchronicities brought me to this forum and it was only a matter of weeks before I realized I’d found a place to call my home ‘away from home’. Shortly after this, Steve asked me to take a lead role there and I’ve been serving there ever since.
I’d been making the rounds on the internet searching for a community. After looking around the internet for ways to connect with others that had similar social needs around having spiritually-based discussions, I found through joining in several of them that I really didn’t get the feeling of community I was longing for.
It isn’t like I’m hide-bound over finding people that have the exact same beliefs as me, or like I want everyone to agree with my own sensibilities on every subject. I’m broad-minded and love diversity. I love contrast as much as I love similarity.
What I was looking for was a place to mix it up, free from the sniping, the negative biting and sarcastic trolling that, unfortunately, I found to be a significant factor in what those other forums had to offer.
With this sort of distraction going on, the conversation wasn’t allowed to flower into the kind of relating I was longing for at all.
When I joined our forum four years ago, I found the feeling of family I’d been looking for. This feeling of family and community has grown steadily and the trust between members has blossomed in our sacred space. Sharing and caring for one another is the rule rather than the exception, and this is exceptional indeed.
Our forum space was dedicated to Archangel Michael from it’s inception. I feel strongly that this dedication has been the decisive factor in the way the space inside the forum has been so supportive of community, and supportive of creating space for trust and love to bloom between members that have not had the opportunity to even meet face to face.
I believe His angelic presence has been the centerpiece and cornerstone of our ability to hold the space to practice communicating in ways that are in alignment with divine principles, like truth, like harmlessness, and like honoring each other, instead of bashing, shaming or blaming.
While I’m sure I’m biased, I feel like our forum has represented the best place on the internet to mix with other lightworkers in a safe space, free from stress and strife.
The private nature of the forum itself is a protective measure that’s allowed us to invite everyone in to our virtual temple space, and at the same time insist that those who come in either treat the space as sacred or we remove them.
It’s been amazing how seldom this removal of anyone has occurred. It’s also amazing how we’re able to talk about such a wide variety of subjects without becoming divisive and polarized. Such is the power of the setting of intent and the loving presence of devoted moderators to hold the space.
We’ve created a new forum space now, seated in our own domain on the internet, so our forum in the Yahoogroups domain is going to be moved to it beginning next month. The exact date of this move isn’t yet finalized, but we hope to launch it in the first week of March for the public.
Regardless of the exact date, the launch will be very, very soon, and we hope you will consider joining us in the home that we’ve worked so hard to create.
It’s a house that love built, and it’s going to be a much different experience than the mailbox that our existing forum at Yahoogroups is. This house that love built has many rooms in it, a wider variety of subjects that may be discussed, and a broader span of interests that may be shared.
All are invited to make this space their own when we swing open the doors. There will be a sign up process to join, but everyone will be approved. Good manners are essential, but beyond this we ask little from people in terms of what they may share or discuss among us.
We have stricter guidelines than other places, so be sure to honor these and be willing to enter our space the same way one would enter any temple. This temple is one filled with hearts of community, grounded in humanity, and honoring our struggles as well as our triumphs along the path to greater understandings.
It will continue to be the space where we practice together better ways to communicate that mirror and model higher levels of personal responsibility and integrity.
Though we haven’t yet perfected this, we know this space is the safest imaginable training grounds and we know we’re here to ground this higher awareness and ownership of our communication abilities outward into the world.
We do the work of building the foundations for Nova Earth here in this forum, and we invite all to join in our efforts. It’s the most rewarding work out there, in my view.
The love I’ve given in forum service has repaid me in ways that are beyond words, but I can say my returns have been a thousand-fold what I ever imagined could be possible.
The forum has been the equivalent of the well which springs from the heart of our relatedness, of our connectedness, and of our desire to find our true relatives.
Stay tuned for the grand opening, it’s coming soon. The hearth fire will be burning just for you, all you need do is come and take your place among the family you may not know you have yet.
I’m looking forward to gathering with both the old and new lovers. Meet you there soon.
