Happy Friday, dear friends. I got a double whammy over the last few days. I didn’t really see it coming the way it did, but the lesson is learned and we move on.
The first part of the whammy was going into the city to visit a friend who flew in. Truth is, over the last few months I have spent a lot of time in my space of love, working from home. I have also spent time outside the home, but in familiar spaces, with people who love and know me. I hadn’t traveled outside this realm alone in a long while.
I know as an energy reader and empath, that I am going to pick up on things, it is a given, and honestly it is a given for everyone, but they might not be able to sense it yet. So, why was I at all surprised when I stood alone in a crowd of hundreds at Pennsylvania Station in New York and felt sick?
At first, I thought I was dehydrated, because I usually drink tons of water. Riding the train for an hour and not wanting to pee, I had cut back significantly on my daily intake. This was more than that. I went outside to get some fresh air, but it was so cold as to be extremely uncomfortable, only adding to my mounting distress.
When I came back inside, I began to be aware of the announcements from the Amtrak department that almost every train listed on the board was delayed significantly. My brain then tapped me on the shoulder and said, you are picking up on the stress of others! I immediately felt better, while still feeling this energy. It was not mine and so I could abide in it. Isn’t it wonderful when we know what is happening, we can remain more calm?
The second whammy is having to go today to pick my parents up at the airport. Not that driving is an issue, or getting them, but I didn’t give myself a day of rest to recuperate from being in different energy. I got a workout yesterday, and just like the body and the mind, after doing a new exercise routine or studying for an intensive course, the energy field requires a rest to assimilate.
So, I am on a mission to remember that my energy field and my heart need extra love and tending whenever I take myself out of the usual field I reside in and travel out into the wide world. I am happy to explore this energetic adventure, but just like taking a long hike, or running a marathon, we must remember that our energy fields need time to readjust and integrate after being stressed. I was simply happy to be able to figure out what the issue was and bring myself back to center quickly.
While I can’t change what my next day held, because, well, the plane was coming in, I did choose to strip down my day and spend some quiet nurturing time with myself. I don’t think it is necessary to spend too much down time tending our fields, as long as we recognize the process and be present to fully honor it. The internal and external energy field responds to this focus very quickly, and my brain, heart and inner child all feel happy to assist, as a team, so the recovery has flowed rather well. Another lesson in operating as a higher dimensional being in body for me, and I am happy to learn it!
Creating Biofuel can bring significant job creation to Europe if policy makers jump on board.
Last week, we discussed how Dubai was converting all its municipal vehicles to biofuel. We also shared some articles about creating biogas for use in rural areas of Africa. The truth is, the materials to create biofuels in volume are sitting in everyone’s trash bin. In previous times, this rich organic material would have been buried in land fills.
Now, forward thinking beings are recognizing this organic material gold, and figuring out ways to convert it to useable and sustainable clean energy. In fact, a recent study by the International Council on Clean Transportation showed that biofuel production could create a dramatic number of jobs in the UK and Europe, as well as decrease carbon emissions and the use of fossil fuels across the board.
The issue hangs in the balance though, because policy makers must get behind the new technology in order to make conversion more attractive to business and government. The EU renewable targets for 2030 appeared rather aggressive and unreachable to the European People’s Party, which is a center right wing political group. They vowed to vote against the biofuel reform bill that is scheduled to come up this week.
Without a clear political stance on future governmental support for biofuel, investment from the private sector may be low due to uncertainty on how the fledgling industry will be treated. The excitement is there. The technology is there. The raw materials are there. The ability to produce cleaner fuel and decrease environmental impact is there. It appears, the only thing that is not yet there is a unified support from European governments. Let’s hope they see which way the wind is blowing, stop deferring to dinosaur industry lobbys, and get behind this move to transition out of first generation fossil fuels.

Global Divestment Day focuses on a clean energy future.
This past Friday was international Global Divestment Day, supported by clean energy focused groups like 350 org and GoFossilFree. International programs and protests were planned to bring awareness to the greatly needed shift from fossil fuels to renewable energy.
Activists are calling on governments, investors and industries to pull their funding from fossil fuel industries and reinvest in clean, sustainable energy platforms. Regardless of belief in climate change, these moves will support a cleaner environment globally.
Centralized old-school energy platforms benefit modern end users and rich investors, while the harvesting of fuel for these platforms place many hardships on the citizens of resource rich areas.
Creating sustainable energy platforms will decrease environmental damage that is a direct end result of resource harvesting. It will also create more local jobs to support the smaller scale energy generators. It is already a given that decreasing carbon emissions, created through the combustion of fossil fuels, will be much healthier for the atmosphere and all earth beings in general.
The divestiture movement was not without response from big business. This past week, conventional energy lobbyists brought forth industry-sponsored reports that continue to support fossil fuels as the bedrock of modern life. I hope that individuals will begin to see “industry-sponsored” reports in all facets of life, as glorified spin-doctored advertising and discount them completely, while researching the issues themselves.
Many young people are behind this divestiture movement. In fact, Harvard University students staged a sit-in last week and began an occupation of Massachusetts Hall, where the school president has his offices. The students demanded that Harvard cease profiting from unjust practices that continue to damage already marginalized communities.
I am overjoyed to see young beings raising their voices for changes that will directly benefit the planet they are inheriting. They understand the use of social media and activist processes, and they are willing to get behind solutions that will bring about positive change in the world.
