The Minute4Peace website, created by a team of meditators from around the world, today reaches the goal of registering a total of 1 Billion Minutes of Peace Meditation.
The web site was initiated over 2 years ago in April 2012 and minutes have been added almost daily from individuals and groups from all 7 continents, who wish to contribute their efforts. This 1 billion meditation minutes for Peace equals approximately 10 seconds for every human being on the planet.
The Global Peace Meditation on August 8th led by Deepak Chopra that is attempting to break the world record for participants in meditation will be adding their minutes on to this web site to move it towards its next goal of one minute for each person on the planet. Minute4Peace web site
Meditators, Peace Activists and everyone interested in improving the state of the world will find relevant information about the impact and value of meditation on the web site.
Research on meditation indicates that for every one minute of meditation per person that takes place, crime is reduced by .0015 of a violent crime. These statistics are based on studies completed in Washington DC and in the Merseyside area of the UK.
Minute 4 Peace organizer, Martyn Williams says: “The global response to the site has been wonderful. Many meditators are inspired to log in every day to record their minutes. Our goal is to reach 7 billion minutes by the end of the year and we look forward to working with many groups and churches to make this happen.
When we reach this goal the people involved will have donated one minute for each person on the planet. Every minute spent in meditation has been proven to reduce the crime rate, and alleviate the high cost of crime on society.”
“We have seen increasing involvement in this project over the last several years. We hear many touching stories about how these meditation minutes are practiced. Some people add their meditation minutes while riding on the train to work. Others who are retired report spending their entire day meditating on peace. We plan to become the leading resource for reliable information on issues impacting peace, meditation,
enlightenment, spiritual seekers, and everyone interested in happiness and personal development.”
Minute 4Peace.org is committed to making continual improvements and adjustments so that all spiritual seekers, and everyone interested in happiness and personal development have access to the latest information on Spiritual Enlightenment.
Minute 4 Peace welcomes new visitors to take a look at the new features available, and to submit feedback for the next round of updates.
