Note: Joshua reminds me that Roy Eugene Davis, another Yogananda disciple, is still with us. There are probably more.
Mike Quinsey, who channels SaLuSa, actually has a weekly radio program on BBS Internet Radio. This Friday he has an interesting guest – Swami Kriyananda, formerly J. Donald Walters, the last living disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda.
Paramahansa Yogananda’s Autobiography of a Yogi may have been the first spiritual book I ever read. I actually know that some of you are reading AY right now.
Kriyananda has a wealth of stories to tell about Yogananda and the spread of Yoga and Vedanta in the West.
This is also a chance for people to hear SaLuSa’s channel in his own voice, so to speak.
“CONNECTING THE LIGHT”
FRIDAY 18th. MARCH 2.00PM PST.
Hi Friends,
My guest will be Swami Kriyananda, who is the last still-teaching direct disciple of Paramhansa Yogananda the world famous spiritual leader and author of “Autobiography of a Yogi” widely credited with bringing meditation to the West. It chronicles Kriyananda’s experience as a devoted follower of his guru during the last three and one half years of Yogananda’s life. Swami’s new book “The New Path: My Life with Paramhansa Yogananda” has just been awarded top honors in the Spiritual Book category for the 2010 USA Book News Awards.
It will be a pleasure to speak with such a renowned teacher.
Mike Quinsey.
