“Luke” made available a video of X-Conference 2010’s press conference, held on May 10, 2010, the first instalment of which is reproduced below.

Stephen Bassett discussed the three-year effort of Lawrence Rockefeller to get the UFO presence disclosed during the Clinton era. At the time, the press did not cover his attempt. John Podesta and Hilary Clinton were there and participated.
Bassett, speaking at the National Press Club founded by Joseph Pullitzer, reminded the press of Pullitzer’s statement that “our press and the American republic will rise or fall together.”
Bassett called on the American administration “to do what it needs to do.” It is a fact of politics today, he said, that the more difficult the matter is, the more intransigent the administration gets. Bassett said it would be good for the American republic to end the truth embargo which they started.
If China or Russia were to disclose before the United States, he contended, the U.S. would lose its way back to credibility and would be left with all the negative baggage. If reporters were to chase the administration down the street with clicking pens, it would not look good for America. Bassett wonders how much further the United States could be diminished as a nation.
Bassett announced “Contact 2010,” the first conference to discuss issues of direct contact. It’s designed to put the contact issue at the forefront of disclosure advocacy. I see it as taking disclosure a step forward.
A.J. Gevaerd of Brazil said civilian UFO researchers have established that we are being visited by extraterrestrial species more advanced and intelligent than we are. Civilian UFO researchers are screaming at the top of our lungs that this topic is important and were being denied this information until recently.
Government and the military around the world have kept this information from the people. The amount of information held back is astounding. Brazil has released between 5 and 6,000 pages produced by the military and yet this is only the tip of the iceberg.
Several top-ranking Brazilian officers have come forward and said, yes, we are being visited by other species. This information is now accessible in Brazilian archives and on websites.
The Brazilian campaign is not ended. Researchers are following several strategies to ensure that they get the remaining material and release it to the public.
Linda Moulton-Howe described her extensive research on the Bentwaters incident that occurred in Rendleshem Forest, Great Britain. None of her research was given any notice in the mainstream media. Moreover, the men and women who reported it were left out to dry by base command who said that nothing happened.
Richard Dolan discussed his comprehensive trilogy called UFOs and the National Security State. His study of the body of documents released by governments around the world establish that UFOs are real, not imaginary or fictitious. These craft are not supposed to exist, one officer said, doing things that are not supposed to be possible. The expanding body of credible UFO research will not go away.
The maker of the film Day Before Disclosure (sorry, could not catch his name) discussed UFO sightings in his native Norway. Gary Hezeltine talked about a British incident in which a UFO shone a light into a nuclear weapons storage facility, in a flagrant display of power that, he said, must have engaged the attention of the world’s military.
No, the X-Conference did not make a stab at disclosing. Yes, they did take a giant step forward, particularly in Gevaerd’s case, in showing how a campaign of dedicated civilians can push the governments of the world into disclosing.
The live stream of the conference has been archived and is available for $24.95 from May 12-26, at https://www.paradigmresearchgroup.org/X-Conference2010/X-Conference2010.htm.
