I’ve noticed these last couple of months that the love and joy within me has been building more and more. I have more peace and calm in my life. Things that used to trouble me or cause me stress don’t have the same effect they once did.
We’ve discussed on this blog and on the radio shows the importance of putting ourselves in a high vibrational state, and letting go of the drama and the fear. While I’ve understood the rationale behind this, it’s through the experiencing of it that I now understand why this is so important and such a key component to the Ascension process.
We know that what we put out we get back. It’s the Law of Karma and the Law of Attraction. When I feel love and joy, more love and joy comes to me. The opposite is equally true.
As my good friend Suzanne Lie-Carroll says, we’re the masters of our emotions. We have the power to influence the quality of how we feel in each moment.
In the higher dimensions, the theme is peace and love, and we’re encouraged to be peace and love now. Without really knowing it, I’ve been going through a bit of an experiment these last couple of months. I’ve made it a priority – more than I have ever before – to remain in a high vibrational state and the results have been remarkable!
We’ve all heard about the benefits of meditation – even if it’s for a few minutes a day. Meditation, in addition to its numerous physiological benefits, helps us “plug in” to our higher selves and the divine. When I meditate, everything slows down, I feel much calmer, I connect to my center and feel at peace. I do this daily. I make it a priority. I notice when I meditate, I feel much more grounded and peaceful throughout the day. Great ideas and insights come to me. There’s something about it that mitigates the challenges and stresses that can come up in life.
The other thing that I do is an exercise of gratitude and manifestation. I’ve found that no matter how difficult life can feel, there is always something I can feel grateful for. It could start with feeling gratitude that I have fingers to type this article, that I can walk to the store, feel the sun on my face – and it can expand from there.
After filling myself with gratitude, I think about the things I want to experience in life. I feel the feelings of having them now and the wonderful joy that it brings.
These simple exercises alone have done volumes for raising the vibrations within me and helping me stay in a state of peace and calm. It is in this place that doubt, worry, and fear lose their power – they become almost non-existent.
I’ve been much more cognizant of what I expose myself to, being mindful to be around positive, loving people and doing activities that feel good and bring me joy.
Sure, things come up. Someone might say something that I may internalize as hurtful, something could happen that presents a great challenge. Feelings come up to be sure, but I don’t hold on to them nearly as long as I have in the past. By staying present and mindful, I am able to monitor my emotions and thoughts, and release those that are not high vibrational. It’s my choice. I can wallow in grief, worry and fear, or I can be in a state of peace and calm as I take action to address the situation and move through it.
Being in that place of peace and calm allows for love and joy to flourish, and I find that when I feel love and joy, more love and joy comes to me. People of similar vibration come into my life. Things flow and work so much easier. My intuitive abilities expand, I am able to manifest much easier to the point of things coming to me almost instantaneously. It’s in this place that really great inspiration, ideas and solutions come to me to help me navigate life – things that wouldn’t even enter my consciousness if I operated at a lower vibrational state.
Last weekend I attended a day-long event called Lovevolution, in Montreal, Canada. It was an entirely different way of looking at St. Valentine’s Day. We were invited to evolve our thinking around this day and go beyond what the norm is for expressing and experiencing love – to share love with everyone around us. We did this through meditation, yoga, poetry, art, music, yummy food and healing exercises. We came together as strangers, opened our hearts, built the love within us, and sent it out to the planet. It was a wonderful day. No one wanted to leave when it was over.
The core of who we are is love. That’s what it’s all about. When we’re in a state of love, everything flows so much easier. Life is so much richer, so much more enjoyable. This is where we’re heading as a planet – where the theme of our experiences is love. It’s felt within and without, with everyone and everything.
May you feel the love today and always.
