Hi,
I read an article here not too long ago about being an independent centrist. I wanted to ask the forum: How exactly can we defend our views as centrist? We tend to get attacked by partisan left-wingers or right-wingers as fence sitters or being wishy-washy or not a “true conservative/liberal” or a DINO/RINO. Keep in mind, I’m writing from a US perspective, I’m not sure if there was ever ideological purges in parties from other countries.
I’ve always had the leanings of a moderate Republican but I never got my views from news networks. It was through reading history books and articles.
Has anyone ever had this happen to them?

I spend a lot of time following politics, but I don’t identify with any label.
One thing I wonder is why it feels necessary to defend your views. It’s incumbent on all of us to be clear on what we want and what we stand for, and if we stand for nothing and take no action, we get what other people choose for us. Bottom line is that it’s nobody’s right to attack someone else for their point of view or even their lack of one.

Hello, I am Jack, and I am new to the GAoG forum.
Politics is usually a dirty enterprise/game, and when we take a public side in any political policy or controversy, we open ourselves to being misunderstood, ridiculed, lied about and just plain attacked by those who strongly disagree. And that is why most people keep their views to themselves for the most part, until election season. Most of what is decided in elections is determined beforehand, so to have influence on what will be decided, being politically active between elections is often necessary.
But it is not for the very sensitive, one must be brave and ready to defend one’s beliefs. Personally, I enjoy a good discussion of policies, but avoid attacking others unless they attack my POV. And then i try to downplay the dispute and raise the common good, where agreement is almost automatic.
Civility is the watchword in all political discussions, without it, descent into vitriol and extreme partisanship becomes nearly unavoidable. In these extremist times, it can be dangerous to one’s mental health to be outspoken, or even vocal at all.
It is good to be here with all you spiritually attuned folks. -

As on the blog there are many examples of the “elite agenda” … I came across one today regarding the “counter movement” on the EU political arena.
People and politicians too … are waking up!

Just “got” something …
Maybe not specifically “politics”, but closely related … Duality.
What if you take something … for example a “formula to reduce the global human population” … doesn’t it simultaneously hold the “exact opposite” in it’s creating vibration too?
Think about it. Doesn’t left co-define right? … Up, down … Rich, poor … Good, bad???
In a sense this is the “beauty” of the duality observed universe … it is always originated from the Source center awareness … the self, Self or I.
Every separation construction … starts from the I … identifying the self and the not!
As all human separation constructions are build through “problem, (re-)action, solution” observation felt sense-ation creation … they hold All elemental elements of these building blocks, plus their current … In/Outcome as their Known and Felt Truth.
Flipping the In, must result in flipping the Out! Or otherwise, stepping out of the very duality narrative … neutralizing the whole construction All together … is immediately and instantaneously manifesting Good … transformative Love 💕
Think about it and let me know!??
