Hello fellow Forum-ers! Today’s query is, what if anything do you use as an intuition or psychic aid? Do you use it or them very much? How?
I was introduced to using a pendulum by Reiki teacher, Carolyn, in 2017. Her guidance was invaluable. She showed us a simple way of programming or reprogramming our pendulums and gave instruction in how to use.
I don’t use it much nowadays…I don’t have any clients for one thing…but occasionally, when I feel extra uncertain about a personal question, I will bring it out.
Is it accurate? Does it work? Probably. Maybe. I don’t ask for detailed prognostications, just yes or no. So far, I haven’t felt it’s steered me wrong. It indicates Yes or No quite clearly. Interestingly, its No is quite vigorous, more so than the Yes.
I have a Tarot book and deck I like, The Animal-Wise Tarot by Ted Andrews. I also have an oracle deck and several crystal decks, that I confess I don’t use. But I’d like to.

I use a pendulum almost daily , for all sorts of things. I first learned about them through a wise woman who worked in the health field – she gave me one ‘lesson’ / demo and explained it simply to me, and I was keen to go from there. That was 22 years ago.
I have a few different pendulums , one for carrying with me to test supplements or products if shopping , and others for use at home. One of my favorites is my ‘kitchen pendulum’ which I keep close-by so if I get absent-minded in the kitchen , I can ask if I’ve already added the baking soda to the cookies, etc.
I can check the quality of our drinking water , the level of efficiency of my thyroid gland’s function, what color the tulip bulbs are in the flower pot which I lost the label for after planting them, etc. I can check leftovers in the fridge to see if they’re still okay to eat : )
If I can’t make up my mind which homeopathic remedy is the more appropriate for me, after doing my reading on my symptoms, the pendulum helps me choose the best one and the dosage. There are useful charts available too , in books and on-line , and I’ve found some of those helpful to me.
I tell anyone who’ll listen that a pendulum can be such a great tool to help out in so many ways.
I have grandchildren aged 2 and 4 and they love watching me use a pendulum. I’ve made them each one and we keep those in special box here so they can find them , but I’ll wait till age 5 before teaching them how to really use one, because being able to know how to ask their question in a manner which is clear and concise is imperative.
Speaking of the children, they’ve also learned several of the I AM mantras and Violet Flame decrees because that seems natural lovely to share with them .
Another tool in the toolbox.

Yes, my understanding is that the question needs to be pretty darn specific and geared toward a yes or no. Ambivalence apparently does not work well at all. Of course, I find when I ask an ambivalent question, the pendulum just doesn’t move so it’s pretty smart.😘
My understanding is also that it’s our own minute body movements that make the pendulum move. Presumably we are channeling our higher self or universal wisdom and that translates through our body to the pendulum.
I only have two pendulums, a downstairs/kitchen pendulum and my upstairs bedroom pendulum. This discussion is inspiring me to reconnect and use them more.🪐

I am trying to enhance my body senses. One thing besides my intuition is use your body as a pendulum. Stand up strait … close your eyes … think of a question, object or person … visualize this in your hands, while you hold them folded in front of you.
When you start balancing forward, you are attracted to it (+) … when you lean backwards not (-). Always bare in mind, this is only telling truth for the NOW moment.
Works excellent with food or healing ingredients. 😄☺️

Very interesting hearing about pendulums. I am a very self-doubting person, so I don’t know if using a pendulum would be best for me because I would be constantly second guessing the movements of the pendulum. I personally use tarot cards if I have questions that I need specific answers to.
I don’t ask my guides questions very often because my “style” of ascending is very hands off. I struggled to let my guides handle the pacing of my lessons in the first 4 or 5 years of my spiritual journey, so I did ask more questions and pay more attention to number synchronicities back then because I was impatient.
Now I just go about my daily life, connecting my energy to Mother Gaia every morning, occasionally doing more involved energy work, and focusing on letting my feelings flow without resistance. I don’t worry about when my lessons come to me, and I don’t force my shadow aspects out or shame myself because they are still there.
All in all I’m very laid back about my ascension process because I know it’s gonna happen with or without my micromanagement; I completely trust my Higher Self and my guides to know what pace of evolution is the best for me.
However, I do sometimes want to ask them for advice, so my first avenue for inquiring about a problem is my pure psychic ability. I just ask the question in my mind and listen for the answer. Sometimes it’s immediate, and sometimes I have to go do something for the mental block to disappear. I am adequately clairaudient (nowhere near professional level), and I also get answers in the form of gut feelings. I can feel energy with my sense of touch too.
My Angels will often touch my right arm to let me know they are near. This happens especially often when I’m sad. They also kiss me on the lips since that part of my body is very sensitive so it’s a surefire way to get my attention if I’m really stuck in my head. I think they also do it because they know that my love language is physical affection. I get most of my questions answered with these methods but sometimes I have difficult and very specific questions that I don’t feel confident in receiving telepathically, so I use tarot cards.
I have three decks, the first being the Indigo Angel oracle deck; the second is the Starchild Tarot deck; and the third is the Moonchild Tarot deck. All three of them have been very useful for hard and multifaceted issues. Normally the hard issues are ones where I have a disproportionately large amount of emotional investment and I don’t trust myself to be unbiased when listening for answers telepathically.

As always I love your stories and your sooo honest, sincere and vulnerable way of describing yourself. I can truly feel how you go about these matters.
I also wish some day soon you can start flying. Stop the “limited” way of experiencing life like I “read/perceive” you currently “have to” around work and non awake people (I do mean this with the utmost respect!!!).
I sometimes feel you have too much Light and Love, but the world around you just isn’t ready yet to see and receive this.

I totally relate to your post, Alex. I mostly just check in when I need direction, which is why I don’t use a pendulum much anymore. But it truly is kind of fun to use one sometimes.

Another thing that is helpful to ask yourself is, am I looking for guidance, confirmation, or permission? Guidance is what you seek when you really don’t know how to proceed for your highest result and can help you get clarity on what is the right match for you. Confirmation allows you to affirm your own wisdom and can help you embrace your forward movement more confidently. Permission is looking for validation from others because you are still concerned about what others will think.
So helpful to Know the difference, or just having it pointed out to us once again to not confuse them.

Thanks Catherine for starting this, and I loved reading all the replies. I’ve been thinking about these things recently. Interestingly, pendulums briefly entered my life back in the late 90’s. My sister dated a guy who taught us about it among other spiritual and metaphysical things, but at that time I was a very skeptical 22 year old holding fast to my (unknown to me) programming and not receptive to it, thinking it was bogus. I do remember playing with a pendulum over something which I can’t remember, with my elbows on a table and trying my hardest to be absolutely still because I was convinced I was somehow moving the pendulum, and every time it began to swing in circles on it’s own. I never forgot it. Fast forward now and while I don’t have one yet I have new interest in pendulums, cards, and other scrying techniques like mirror gazing. I do have homemade dowsing rods and I do have the ability to dowse for water and I dowsed my own well which supplies my current home with water.
A little backstory about me, I am an empath/highly sensitive person, and I didn’t even know that was a thing or even heard the word empath until I was in my forties. All of a sudden so much of my past made sense. I learned I do have some gifts, like a certain intuition that I realized in adulthood none of my friends had. I learned that we are all created to have psychic abilities, but most of us are programmed from early childhood that psychics are charlatans, clairvoyance isn’t real, and gifts aren’t nurtured and encouraged by most parents. I learned that to help make sure we are prevented from having intuition, knowingness, a direct relationship with Source/One/God, we have been poisoned with things like fluoride to screw up our pineal gland for example.
I’ve been nurturing myself and believing in myself gaining an understanding that there’s nothing I can’t do. I surprised myself one day while meditating last fall, wondering if I could communicate with the Otherworld. During meditation, I broadcast the thought with intent “Gaia, are you there?” And immediately, a lovely feminine voice came right back in my head. I’ve had many lovely conversations with Gaia, many Archangels, and Yeshua too. There was a post in the blog from the Acturian Group some weeks back in January and in the channeling, the Acturians invited us, the reader, to reach out to them. I tried it, and there they were and we had a delightful chat.
I am still human and have some terrible programming I’m still overcoming, and of course doubt has entered my mind that maybe it’s just me thinking to myself. One particular day alleviated that doubt. Back in December I was walking my farm alone and I spoke out loud “Deva or Angel associated with nature and agriculture, are you there?” Immediately a female voice came to me in my head. I asked many questions on what I can do to heal the soil and build my farm into a thriving sanctuary for insect, animal, and spirit life. Near the end of our discussion, I asked “what is your name?” and she replied Ariel, almost in a whisper. It would be two or three weeks later that I’m reading about Archangels, and there in the list of Archangels was Ariel, “Lioness of God”, Archangel of nature and the environment. I had waves of goose bumps go over me. And it was then, that I knew in my heart, I’m not thinking to myself.
While I do on occasion see bright white, fleeting points of light and sometimes moving shadows, which I understand to be spirits of the faerie realm, I don’t currently really have clairvoyance where I’m seeing humanoid shaped spirits or angels. I do have some degree of claircognizance and also clairsentience, which I realize now I’ve had all my life. These two are the ones that I didn’t know what they were when I was young and I simply thought all people could pick up on others vibes like I did.

That is so cool that you accurately channeled Ariel’s name. I have had moments like that but they were when I was communicating with people from works of fiction. I believe with all my heart that people in tv shows or books are real, but I don’t think most other people do, not even other lightworkers, so I hide that from everyone but my husband. I really wish I could talk about it but it feels like no one is really interested in talking to people from works of fiction, or they just flat out don’t believe they exist.

Alex you are in good company here in this forum. I believe you too. As a matter of fact I believe everything that has an Existence within (self-) awareness has the ability to (self-) express.
I myself reached out so far out, I pulled myself 3 times into a psychosis. Still I need to go to this edge and look beyond. It’s stronger than my “common” sense.
Thank you Alex and Thomas for pointing out the light worker challenges of craziness hahahahaha. Nowadays I KNOW why we are the strongest of the strong!

I’ve read about water dowsing. You being who you are, naturally you’d be an adept. Have you done water-witching for others? How did you choose your rods? I understand certain types of trees work better than others.

I made my dowsing rods out of copper, solid copper electric wire to be exact. I made these several years ago before I really intentionally started down a new spiritual path, but looking back, I realize now that at that time I had already started down the trailhead of my own spiritual path but was not being aware of it. I believed in dowsing, and I wanted to try it, and after reading about using either certain species of tree limbs or metal rods that are preferably pure and not an alloy, I chose copper wire as it’s 99.9% pure. Looking back, I believe I was unknowingly putting intent and my energy into the rods as I made them, and by making I really mean cutting to length, stripping it bare of all the plastic insulation jacket on the wire, and bending it into a very long L. There was nothing to it really and hardly took 3 minutes, but the whole time I remember thinking about dowsing and water while I made them. After they were bent into the L shape, I walked outside, held them in my hand pointing straight out away from me and parallel to each other, and I asked out loud “dowsing rods, please show me a yes”, and they moved together, crossing. Waves of goose bumps washed over me as I realized I have the ability to dowse. I reset the rods straight again and said out loud, “dowsing rods please show me a no”, and they both moved in opposite directions away from each other. Another wave of goose bumps came over me, along with a sensation of elation accompanied by a huge grin.
Some more story: The following day I drove the few hours to the land my wife and I had purchased a few months prior, and walked around with them asking pointed questions that can be answered with a yes or no. I found several locations, and the first two or three I asked “is this the best location to drill?” and got a no, and kept searching til I got a yes. I gathered other information from the rods besides location. I knew before hand that water would be found between 150-200ft, it would service more than 20 gallons per minute, and was not smelly sulfur water. When the well drillers came, they found water at 190ft, the drilling rig was pushing about 25 gallons a minute out uninterrupted, and the water was clean and sweet, no smell.
As for wood dowsing, it’s my understanding that such species as willow and apple work very well, and a key to using them is it has to be a fresh branch taken from a tree, and cannot be old dead wood. I have dowsed for another person, my brother, who is drilling a well. I am the type of person that keeps quiet about my abilities and am not the type to advertise or “preach”, but will speak about it if someone asked me about drilling a well and said they were doing the same and then I would offer my services. I have not tried pendulum dowsing. Also, I have only used dowsing to locate subterranean water. I have read that dowsing rods can be used to locate other objects like gold and silver, but I don’t want to do that as I feel that what I can do is a gift, and I won’t use this gift for selfish purposes like finding money. If someone did ask me to dowse for them, I would do it for free.

I suspect many of us didn’t really know “what we were” but moved toward self-revelation unerringly nonetheless.

I feel so liberated knowing that there are other lightworkers who believe people from works of fiction are real, I have felt so lonely in that area, you have no idea. Most of my past lives that I know about are people from works of fiction, so I can barely talk about my past lives with anybody.
It’s so painful trying to share who I am to other lightworkers, people who should be very open minded, and receive indifference or outright ridicule in response. That has actually happened to me. They seem to be projecting their lack of self worth onto me when I say that I was this famous person in a past life.
I’ll give one example: Mozart is one of my past lives. If I told some random person who happens to believe in reincarnation that Mozart is one of my past lives, they would probably say to me, “Yeah right, you wish. Don’t be so delusional, you’re just seeking attention.” Well Mozart was someone’s past life! Is it so wild to think it might be me? I’m not trying to act or be better than anyone, this is simply what I was told by my dearly departed Twin Flame, who was very psychic.
This kind of thing is just as bad with fictional characters, maybe even worse. I would first have to convince most people that they’re real, and if that actually works, then I have to hope that they don’t get offended by me telling them that this famous and beloved character is one of my past lives.
Do you see why I never talk about this? It’s so much work just for someone to hear me out, let alone completely believe me. It’s not any fun for me to talk about those past lives of mine to people who don’t believe that characters from works of fiction are real.
It’s the most fun when the person I’m talking to believes they’re real AND knows the characters because they’ve seen the show or played the game. My husband is a Godsend because he’s just as invested in anime and video games as I am. He has a lot of past lives in the same shows as me because we’re from the same Soul Family, we evolved together.
I want to bring up something important that is related to all of this. I once read in a conversation between a channeler and the higher beings that were being channeled, that sometimes spirits go and live other people’s past lives because they want to know what it’s like. They said that’s why a lot of people feel like Joan of Arc is one of their past lives.
I am more so inclined to believe this to be true than not. It could explain why I relate so deeply to some characters in works of fiction. Maybe those are someone else’s original lives but I wanted to live through it too. I believe that the past lives I’m aware of are my own and not just me hitching a ride in someone else’s experience, but I may find out later that I was wrong. However, that is really a moot point because no matter the details, I lived those lives, they are mine; those experiences and the wisdom gained are etched into my soul.
I have a theory about why so many of my past lives are on display in the form of tv shows, books, and video games. I am a pretty young lightworker, especially for the level of wisdom that I’ve attained.
I really am not trying to toot my own horn, but I have to be honest about my careful self assessments; I’m normally underestimating myself but I can’t do that here for the sake of this discussion.
I am very wise for my age; most 25 year olds are consumed by social media and arguing with people on the internet, while I’m patiently holding space for everyone here on earth, giving love equally to those that are aiding the Ascension, and those that are trying to stop it. I have no hate in my heart for the Cabal. I actually tear up with sorrow and admiration most of the time because they were once pure angels who sacrificed themselves for our benefit.
The point I’m getting to is that I had to expedite my remembrance of important wisdom so that I would be prepared for this moment. I had to reach the level of other highly evolved lightworkers in a fraction of the time, so what better way to remember all the most important things from my past lives than to relive them in works of fiction? It’s a much quicker way to relearn important lessons without all the pain that comes with making the mistakes myself.
If I am the only person incarnate on this planet who experienced those characters’ lives, then the wisdom I gained is helping countless others around the world. However it’s quite possible that there are other fans of those works of fiction who chose to live those lives too, so they are being given the opportunity to remember those important lessons just like me.
I feel very grateful to be here in this forum because now I can truly be myself. I had been hiding this part of me from everyone but my husband for so long, and it is such a precious part of my being. The characters I talk to have been invaluable to my spiritual journey. The possibility of meeting my favorite anime and video game characters in real life was the only thing keeping me going for the first 4 years of my awakening process. I talk to them more than I talk to my own guides or any extraterrestrials. This is why it’s so heartbreaking to me to keep these people a secret, but I don’t have to anymore, because of you lovely souls. My heart is overflowing with love and gratitude, thank you so much. ❤️❤️❤️

It wouldn’t surprise me if one of my favorite authors, Mary Stewart, WAS Merlin. She wrote her Merlin books in first person POV, and I have always believed the only way she could’ve written so much from “within” Merlin was because she had been him.
I know next to nothing about my past lives…other than this is not the first time I’ve been a writer. I’ve wanted to ask psychics “what did I write” because if I was a published author, I might find “my” works somewhere.
How fun would THAT be?!

I love how this thread is playing out. Ridicule and shame are emotions within the “unknown” band and therefore close to the “Non Existence” of Fear itself.
So brave of all of us to express our believes, for in Truth they still hold Doubt and this contains Fear. It’s this bravery that will help us clear this Collective Fear Emotion up.
So what is in fact “real”, when ALL is an illusion!?
There is only ONE … and we are ALL it!
So everyone of you out there is infact also in me (individual). This isn’t just NOW in the present, but also in the “perceived” past.
So therefore I am just as much Mozart as I am Archangel Michael as I am Ceasar, Napoleon, Biden, Trump, Kennedy, Stalin, Hitler and Jesus.
It is just as you are currently “closer” related to deer one’s in your live, because you share a common relation within the “love frequency” band. The closest Love you can tune into and connect is your Heart Soul connection, for this leads you “individuals” to YOUR Source Code.
How difficult it is to see past the illusion matrix of time and separation!
We are the awakened ones. We can do it. We are doing it!
