I used to live in Sedona AZ and it was easy to find spiritual people and groups and places to go, and at the time it was real exciting for me. I experienced so many wonderful things and I ended up attaching myself to a particular spiritual group that I really related to. It was a magical time in my life. I also lived near Ashland OR and it was also easy there to find spiritual people, go to channelings, and do some exciting things and meet exciting people.
Today, during these times of ascension upheaval and all the chaos going on, I am feeling the loss of having a spiritual community like that. There is no face-to-face anymore, it’s all on the Internet now. Someone made a post in one of the threads here that suggested we have a ZOOM call since there isn’t that many of us yet on the forum. Sorry I couldn’t find the post.
I have been having ZOOM calls with my family for years and they are very enjoyable. I like the idea of connecting faces to names to voices like you do in a ZOOM call. So I’m starting this column as a newbie to throw light on the subject of connecting via ZOOM calls. We can’t wait for things to come to us anymore, we are the initiators of this new world. Count me in for supporting each other through ZOOM calls. I think it would be fun!

I would consider it … being clumsy in technology often means I can’t figure something new out ! But in this case ( of Zoom) , against my initial reluctance, this past year I’ve ‘zoomed’ a few times with a group whose organizer runs a good tight safe room & has a format for how the meeting will be laid out. She’s prompt & thoughtful – well-organized and ensures each participant has their turn initially to say hello / update us on their circumstances, etc (she mutes the others so there’s no interruptions to sidetrack) That’s been my only Zoom experience so far, and even though there are usually 10 or 12 people, it’s not been the hectic noisy babble which I had first imagined it would be .
So , yes I agree this seems like it would be a nice thing, MurrietaLight, to have a chance for anyone who’d like it, to ‘meet’ one another …. although I feel a bit awkward and shy, I’m far more open to the idea nowadays, if there are simple guidelines and a host and all I have to do is show up , and will watch here to see others thoughts on it.

Yes, it was Ralph who suggested Zoom weeks and weeks ago, so good eye, Murrieta. 😃
I will say upfront, I love the idea…but don’t want to get involved. I’ve done a few zoom chats since “this all started” so I have an idea of the process. That said, I just don’t want to take responsibility for zoom meetings for forum members. (Setting boundaries?! Goodness, how mature.😘)
Maybe someone could organize one Zoom, and see how it goes?
I can see how this could get complicated. For various reasons which are probably obvious, we ought not to put email addresses in these public posts (spammers probably haunt forums, looking for email addresses to harvest for unpleasant reasons). That’s my guess. At any rate, I don’t post my email publicly.
The way around it, I think, is to use the private message function here on the forum.
Those are my initial thoughts on this…
Please, if anyone wants to take this wonderful idea and make it happen, jump in.

Thank you for this very clear message. I was postponing a reply in this tread when the question popped up. Currently I equally don’t feel a “need” for Zoom. Love the way we currently have more new participants.
If the situation changes I will offer to host a “first” Zoom event. I could think of something monthly, with a minimum and maximum amount of participants. I should have sufficient tech know how to pull this of.
Let’s wait a little longer for now and see how the March energy’s will shake the world up. I feel we are close for some happenings.

It’s just something to kick around. Put it on the backburner and let it percolate some more. Nobody has to heap more work on themselves to do this. Maybe the importance of connecting in this new way will become more apparent later. You just never know.

Maybe it is time now to plan a zoom meeting? I am volunteering to organize one, just for my forum friends. I know many are feeling down and just gathering with like minded souls could be uplifting.
At this point it’s not important how or when, just reply … you like to join, or do not.
I would like to add an intent to the first GAoG Zoom … “Ending despair and feelings of loneliness, being part of a very exclusive wonderful group, active listening and heart expressing and as desert smiles and hugs for all”
There will be no judgement only honoring courage and friendship. Yes it will be new and possibly scary for many introvert people … me included, but my faith and what I hope to gain from it, should overcome that and make room for empowerment and compassion.
So what do you say my lovely fellow light workers … are you ready to join this open invitation?

Ok guys, let’s just dive in. I looked into Zoom and alternatives, but in the end returned to Zoom again. As I only have the free basic option, there will be a limit at first to meet for 40 minutes max. However, we have a workaround to this. Several meetings sequentially.
Another item I was “worried” about, is people’s need to expose credentials. That’s why I looked at alternatives, however no real improvement or far less quality.
The thing is however, when you install Zoom on your end, you only need a valid email address. From there you can alter your account and show others your “name” in any way you like.Finally, date and time. This will probably always be an “issue” or inconvenience to some, but I would just like to go with the flow. I myself and Hadarian are living in Europe at UTC+2. The US East Coast would be at UTC-4 and the West Coast at UTC-7, so we are dealing with a 9 hour time difference currently.
I created 2 meetings in a row, for this Friday 18:00 in Europe and consequently 6 to 9 hours earlier in the US.
The invitations are below included as links. I also included a password to actually enter the Zoom room, which is “love” without the quotes.
This session will not be recorded. I like to ask everyone to have a pen and paper available. My objective is to actually “host” it this first time and connect us to become acquainted. Hope the technology will support us, rather than frustrate or limit us.
Lastly I still hope others will eventually decide to join. They are more then welcome. Equally if successful, we could repeat this every 2 weeks or so, we will see.

Hi Pat.
Los Angeles is UTC-7 according to an app I installed. This makes the time difference from my location and invitation time (UTC+2) … 9 hours earlier. Therefore 6PM in Europe becomes 6-9 is 9AM in California.

Looks like this one I’ll have to sit out. The time is not good for me. I do want to know how it turns out, though. I got the idea today that those who are interested in a zoom call are “ambassadors” of sorts. So you ambassadors keep the rest of us informed on how it went. You are the first on this new path. Hello my friends,
Just a quick summary of our first GAoG Zoom gathering. So first of all, we were “only” three. However it’s a start and also got us time to start to know each other. Luckily no real technical issues, only a case of a turned of sound/mic.
Possibly the day or even the timing wasn’t all that optimal for many to join, but we did it and that’s what counts.
It felt exited to join and equally uncomfortable to come out of my comfort zone. Probably this was the case for the others as well. Anyway it was Good to connect and interact with other spiritual souls.
Afterwards I have been pondering about the session and came to a conclusion for my part … there was something “missing”. However the part that was missing was a magical ingredient … we were missing a “need”
Imagine going to a party like a sort of “blind date”. You don’t know what to expect, who will show up, what is the “dresscode”, what it will be about. We were all equals with a common desire to connect.
There was no agenda, no organisation, no common threat or enemy, no leader, no group or ego objective. Everybody came to listen hahahahahaSo in a sense we were sitting around a camp fire waiting to start singing “Cumbayá”. So we started asking questions, listening, learning to connect and actually hear and see the other person.
It was nice to say the least. We decided to gather again next week. This would be Friday 23th April. We still like others to come and join us, so we could even shift the day or time a little to make this happen.

The way you have articulated the above indicates that we need an organized agenda or an objective, and I definitely don’t think we do for a meeting with just three people. As soon as an agenda is introduced, a purpose other than to connect with other like-minded people in an authentic way, specifically without an agenda, suddenly you are there not to connect with others in genuine way.
I used to attend an online group like that, which was so controlled that people would come for a 25-minute meditation and then some person, often the meeting host, will have prepared some kind of lecture on some subject and after that, everyone vanished and I was alone again feeling like I had gotten nothing out of it.
I think you need to reflect on what you are really trying to achieve with these Zoom meetings. I personally have no need of the sorts of online meetings like the one I just described and would find my time could be better spent in other ways.
For myself, I can say I am very conscious of what I am hoping to achieve through these meetings, and that is some way to make genuine and real social connections with people who are more like myself, which I otherwise lack literally in every area of my life. That connection can be made in different ways, by discussing personal paths, insights, observation–general authentic sharing in any form.
I don’t know what your goal is, Ralph, or what the goal of anyone else who would be participating is. I liked the first meeting and how it went. It had a natural flow to it. Each person spoke in his/her turn and the others listened attentively. Ralph managed to ensure that even I spoke, which I normally would not do unless addressed and given the space to speak. Dynamics and flow become problematic when you have a type of personality involved who wants to dominate and take up more space and time than others. Just things to consider and experiment with in the future.

Speaking for myself only, I didn’t feel as if there was a missing need. If I had a need, it was met, and that was to connect with people who are on a similar path.
Ralph I hope you continue to be the one to host and set up the link and password for others to join. I’ve watched spiritual one on one and round table discussions on the internet and once in a while a guest will ramble on, and while the information may be good, it dominates the talk, burning up the time, restricting the voice of others. I think it’s nice to have someone acting as leader or pacesetter in a group discussion. I think someone has to do it, and I thought you did well.
I think if there are topics that any participant wants to discuss, it might be nice to mention it here in this thread before an upcoming meeting to give others a day or two to ponder the subject.

Let me be clear on two things. One, I will continue. Two … I didn’t miss anything either!!!
It’s just my way of going “inside” and write about the feeling, the awareness or some clarity about “stuff”.
Just as I recently wrote about “peace” as an inner awareness as possibly the “absence” of something previous, a memory of a feeling. So in this context I have personally determined “need” as a form of “control” used by either the ego or the dark “lower” vibrations in the human collective.
Control is always a form of fear … for letting Go … or Trust the Divine flow of All. That’s why I was very pleased noticing a common “need” not to be present during our gathering. Which is a very Good thing, possibly even the only very correct approach as Higher Spiritual beings in a collective gathering!?
I believe everything happens for a reason. My background as manager for one … makes perfect sense to me … now.
I will host, guide a session to the most minimal amount. Try to feel what is happening or is gently knocking to surface. I like and learn to be in service to the group energy and awareness.Having known and experienced the 3D way … constructing, implementing towards a predetermined result … now gives me the advantage to sense this frequency’s presence.
I do hope still, others will come and say hi too. Patience and baby steps. Go with the flow. All is well and as it should be.

I think you nailed it here Ralph. Thank you all for the update. We have nothing but time, so just enjoy the process, that seems like the best way to go.
And I’ve had to realize that I am in the middle of a big change with my moving to a new home environment momentum, so I am going to have to focus on that, and maybe down the road I can join one of these gatherings. Right now my energy is all tied up.

I took that picture from my phone the day Robin Williams died. I felt it was a tribute to him, a bright light going home. The sky was just gorgeous with his light that night.

Hello my spiritual friends,
I would like to switch from Zoom to an alternative meeting client. Why? Because personally I am not comfortable with the Zoom limitations and currently also don’t like to need an upgraded version. So I did look for alternatives again and found a great one … Glip or RingCentral.
So I could explain why in detail, but sometimes you just have to trust a former IT professional and semi nerd hahahaha lol
Anyway, this environment works equal to Zoom but has no time limitations for group video gatherings (the main reason why I dislike the free Zoom). Apart from that it works similar to the Zoom app. You can create your own app on your computer, tablet or mobile … or just join a video meeting with a link and a “name” identifier (so if you like to join as Spongebob, that’s possible).
Furthermore I tested it just from a url link in the (Chrome ~ Chromium) browser and this worked fine as well (no download or software install required).Finally the weekly link we have setup for our GAoG gathering. Please use below link and equal the password. Untill we decide differently the day is every friday and the time equal as mentioned before (UST+2 18:00)
Lets build on growing ever closer and larger.
