I wish political commentators would stop talking over top of each other, but we may have some ways to go before we recover that degree of respect for each other!

Nonetheless, if there were incriminating evidence I too would expect it to have come out before now as well.

Notice what the councilwoman says here: “I want to emphasize clearly: our concern is with one individual’s extremist rhetoric – not with Islam, not with Muslim students, and not with interfaith engagement itself. We remain committed to building bridges across communities and creating spaces where all students feel respected and safe.”

So not all Islam, not all Muslims – but just the ill-behaving individuals. Keep the focus on extremism, extreme behavior. Very well done.
