Kirk, 31, is the founder and president of a national student group called Turning Point USA. The group said that Kirk was shot on Wednesday during an event in Utah.

Kirk was speaking at Utah Valley University, whose representatives did not pick up the phone or return messages.

“We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. FBI Director Kash Patel said separately that FBI agents will be on the scene soon.
