It would be difficult to argue that every day now, something new and potentially shocking emerges onto the public stage. The President stepped up to the podium yesterday to talk about many things currently underway, but first, he brought up the shooting in Fort Stewart, Georgia.
Next up after that:
- Bringing business, investment, jobs and manufacturing back to this country.
- Tariffs and the reshaping of manufacturing as a result of same.
When the floor was opened to press questions, one important one was asked about the labor force, and the availability of skilled labor to fill all these positions. The answer given hinted at school and training that would be provided at least by Apple.
Honestly, if they want Americans to get to work, they’ll have to get serious about training people. Mike Rowe’s foundation does exactly that, so it would be wise to take a page from his book to start educating the American people to do the skilled work that’s been outsourced for decades now.
The conversation turned to the shameful state that the District of Columbia is in, specifically mentioning the brutal attack on Edward Coristine when he took action to protect his “significant other” in a gang carjacking. Edward saved his lady, but the DC police only arrested two young thugs.
