Trump’s Next Winning Issue: Judicial Malfeasance
John Green, American Thinker, August 3, 2025
(https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2025/08/trump_s_next_winning_issue_judicial_malfeasance.html)
Donald Trump is a master at using the rules that the radicals use against us against them — the Saul Alinsky rules, that is. He picks a target, freezes it, personalizes it, and polarizes it (Rule 13 of Rules for Radicals). Then he rides it to electoral success. In 2016, he did it with the illegal immigration crisis. In 2020, the Dems outmaneuvered him with the COVID crisis and the election tampering it enabled. (1) But then President “Autopen” bollixed up the border so badly that Trump was able to ride the immigration crisis (and several others) to victory again in 2024.
With the border mostly under control now, what will the Donald use to energize his growing MAGA movement in 2026? Will it be our corrupt judicial system?
While Chief Justice Roberts (2) blathers about there being no “Obama judges or Trump judges,” district judges across the country are busily demonstrating that he’s uninformed, unintelligent, or uncandid. In the past six months, Obama and Biden judges have given a middle-finger salute to the Constitution and the voters by
- telling Congress which private entities it is required to fund,
- limiting when and where the president can deploy troops,
- stipulating Executive Branch staffing levels, and
- welcoming foreign criminal invaders into our country.
Which party’s members appointed the judges who committed all these unconstitutional actions?
When the political affiliation of a judge is a more reliable predictor of his judicial decision-making than the language of the law, it is prima facie evidence that our government is broken. It’s still capable of legislation (Article I) and execution (Article II), but not unbiased adjudication (Article III). The United States is in a crisis, and the Dems have given Donald Trump his issue for the midterm elections.
However, the Donald still needs to personalize the issue. He needs a poster child for the crisis, the face of the problem — preferably a pompous jerk who’s easily disliked.
With that call to action, Judge James Boasberg stood tall and raised his hand. (2)
Just like that, court malfeasance has a face. Boasberg has
- imprisoned taxpayers for taking unauthorized selfies on taxpayer property,
- given an FBI lawyer a slap on the wrist for falsifying evidence against another American citizen (who happened to work for Trump),
- and ordered the president of the United States to break the law.
But to win his audition for the face of judicial malpractice, Judge Boasberg did something even more outrageous. According to Margot Cleveland of The Federalist, he went to other judges and encouraged them to bias their decisions against a litigant in their courts before hearing the evidence. He even brazenly did it on the record at a judicial conference presided over by Chief Justice Roberts.
Now President Trump has an avatar for the next 80/20 issue that the Dems are determined to be on the wrong side of.
Never being one to let an opposition tactical error go to waste, Trump through his Justice Department filed a misconduct complaint against Boasberg. A.G. Bondi posted this:
Today at my direction, The Justice Dept filed a misconduct complaint against U.S. District Court Chief Judge James Boasberg for making improper public comments about President Trump and his Administration. These comments have undermined the integrity of the judiciary, and we will not stand for that.
The complaint was filed with Judge “Sri” Srinivasan, the chief judge of appeals for the District of Columbia — an Obama judge. Did I mention that political affiliation is more predictive of federal judicial outcomes than application of the law? Hence, it is far more likely that Judge Srinivasan will provide additional evidence of Chief Justice Roberts’s foolishness than take any meaningful corrective action. But I suspect that is fine with President Trump. It will just reinforce his point that the crisis is bigger than one unethical jurist.
Besides, I doubt that President Trump is expecting a corrupt organization to correct itself. So why is he wasting his time with impotent posers who think a black robe is power? The complaint about Judge Boasberg isn’t a plea for the system to redeem itself — even if that’s what the motion claims to be. I suspect that the actual reason for the complaint is to make the crisis official and take it to the real power behind this republic: we the people.
President Trump knows that if he can make us angry enough about the problem, we will insist that it be fixed. Conveniently, our first chance to express that “insistence” is just a little over a year away — during the midterm elections. That gives The Donald a bit over a year to convince us that an out-of-control Judiciary — which looks strikingly like James Boasberg — is incompatible with our form of self-governance. How much freezing, personalizing, and polarizing do you suppose President Trump can do in 15 months? (3)
The district judges have been fooling around, testing how blatantly they can support the anti-MAGA resistance without consequences. Now it’s the master showman’s turn to convince the audience voters that we must get the Judiciary under control or lose control of our government — and he’ll be using Judge Boasberg as his visual aid.
Will 2026 be the year that our megalomaniac judges find out about consequences? Will we show them that lower courts have no charter without congressional consent, no power without executive consent, and no legitimacy without our consent?

JUST IN: Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton Moves to Declare Every Runaway Democrat Seat Vacant
Cullen Linebarger, Gateway Pundit, Aug. 8, 2025

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is now going nuclear to ensure the Texas fleebaggers never return to power.
Paxton announced Friday afternoon that he has filed a “historic” lawsuit with the Texas Supreme Court to declare all 13 seats vacant.
“The rogue Democrat legislators who fled the state have abandoned their duties, leaving their seats vacant,” Paxton said in a statement. “These cowards deliberately sabotaged the constitutional process and violated the oath they swore to uphold.”
“Their out-of-state rebellion cannot go unchecked, and the business of Texas must go on,” he added. “I have asked the Texas Supreme Court to declare what has been clear from the beginning: that the runaway members have officially vacated their offices in the Texas House.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Paxton announced on Tuesday that he would file to vacate Democrat seats if they did not return to vote by the end of the week.
“I will seek judicial orders declaring that runaway Democrats who fail to appear by the Speaker’s deadline have vacated their office,” Paxton said in a statement.
Paxton’s announcement one day after he launched an investigation into the Texas Majority PAC (TMP), a George Soros-funded PAC, for illegally funding the runaway Texas Democrats’ activities.
The group was founded by former staffers of radical former gubernatorial and Senate candidate Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke.
Paxton added that TMP reportedly played a “coordinating role” in helping with illegal fundraising and potentially bribing Texas House members.
This news also comes just two days after Paxton launched a criminal investigation into O’Rourke’s own PAC for unlawfully funding runaway Democrats.
It was reported this week that O’Rourke’s PAC funded the private plane that transported the Texas Democrat lawmakers to Illinois so they could block GOP redistricting efforts.

Mamdani’s Plan for Schools Draws Angry Backlash from New York Parents
Nick Givas, The Western Journal Aug. 8, 2025
(https://tinyurl.com/msraht4u)
New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani continues to make waves with his radical agenda. This time he’s targeting charter schools, producing some strong reactions from parents and residents.
In an exclusive report by The New York Post, the newspaper wrote that Mamdani “plans to declare war on charter schools if he’s elected mayor,” according to a survey he answered June before the Democratic primary.
The state assemblyman said he would “fight efforts to open more charters, which largely educate minority, working-class students, and even opposed the schools sharing space in city-owned buildings,” the article read.
“I oppose efforts by the state to mandate an expansion of charter school operations in New York City,” he said in a Staten Island Advance questionnaire.
Mother Arlene Rosado, who has a son in 10th grade at the “Nuasin Next Generation” K-12 charter school in the Bronx, said Mamdani doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
“I don’t understand why Mamdani would be hostile to charter schools,” she said. “I think he’s very misinformed.”
Rosado reportedly moved her son there because he was being bullied in public school. His situation has since improved after he was given the option to leave.
“Charter schools are helping kids in the community,” Rosado added. “You should always have a choice. Taking that choice away is not cool.”
The socialist candidate claimed charter schools divert public resources and mainly serve the wealthy, while harming lower-income families, The Hill reported last month.
Mamdani also promised to conduct audits of charter schools that are within the city’s Department of Education buildings, claiming they get too much public money.
“I also oppose the co-locating of charter schools inside DOE school buildings, but for those already co-located my administration would undertake a comprehensive review of charter school funding to address the unevenness of our system,” his survey answer read.
He added, “Matching funds, overcharged rent, and Foundation Aid funding would be part of this audit as my administration determined how to manage the reality of co-located schools and legal entitlements.”
It’s obvious why he’s declaring war on charter schools: They hurt unions and the public school system.

NYC Charter School Center CEO James Merriman told The New York Post that Mamdani’s contempt for school choice has been obvious throughout his entire tenure in the state assembly.
“As a member of the Assembly, Mr. Mamdani has made clear that he was not supportive of charter schools or even the families that chose them, but he has recently and repeatedly said he would be a mayor for all New Yorkers — and that, of course, has to include the nearly 150,000 charter school students and their families,” he declared.
Teachers’ unions are nefarious — especially public sector groups. They’re basically an arm of the Democratic Party with a quid pro quo situation in place.

Disney Forced to Issue Humiliating Statement After Gina Carano Piledrives Them Into Submission – She’s Beaten the House of Mouse
Joe Saunders, The Western Journal Aug. 8, 2025
(https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/08/disney-forced-issue-humiliating-statement-gina-carano-piledrives/)
When it comes to its “Star Wars” franchise, The Walt Disney’s Company’s Death Star just exploded.
On Thursday, in a decisive turn of events, Disney and conservative actress Gina Carano announced the settlement of a lawsuit Carano filed last year accusing the House of Mouse of wrongful termination.
And while the exact terms weren’t disclosed, there’s no doubt who the winner was.
Carano’s statements on Thursday make it clear.
“[A]nd the truth shall set you free,” she wrote in a post on the social media platform X.
She followed that up with a lengthier statement that thanked mega-billionaire and Renaissance man Elon Musk for financially supporting her lawsuit. She thanked her attorneys and her supporters.
And she thanked God.
Those are not the sentiments of the losing side.
I have come to an agreement with Disney/Lucasfilm @disney @Lucasfilm which I believe is the best outcome for all parties involved. I hope this brings some healing to the force.
I want to extend my deepest most heartfelt gratitude to Elon Musk, @elonmusk a man I’ve never met,… https://t.co/qiAX7W1vgf

Disney fired Carano in 2021 from her role in the “Star Wars” spinoff series “The Mandalorian” after she stirred controversy by using a social media post to compare the treatment of conservatives in the United States to the public abuse and systematic roundup of Jews in Nazi Germany.
She deleted the post, but Carano’s outspoken views had already made her a target in COVID-era America, and Disney hit hard.
The company not only fired her, it issued a public statement denouncing her views as “abhorrent and unacceptable.” It declared that not only was Carano no longer employed by the company, but that “there are no plans for her to be in the future.”
(In an old movie, that would be the movie mogul villain telling a young heroine: “You’ll never work in this town again.”)
Carano, a former professional mixed martial arts fighter, responded by fighting back, aided greatly by Musk, who funded her lawsuit.
Disney, for its part, published a statement Thursday that — in light of its caustic 2021 attack — needs to be seen to be believed.
“The Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilm are pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with Gina Carano to resolve the issues in her pending lawsuit against the companies,” the statement said, according to the trade publication Variety.
“Ms. Carano was always well respected by her directors, co-stars and staff, and she worked hard to perfect her craft while treating her colleagues with kindness and respect. With this lawsuit concluded, we look forward to identifying opportunities to work together with Ms. Carano in the near future.”
So, Carano has gone from being “abhorrent and unacceptable” to “always well respected.” Her employment status has gone from essentially “never again,” to Disney looking forward to ways to work with her “in the near future.”
To paraphrase Winston Churchill in another Nazi-era context, that’s abasement wrapped in embarrassment inside a humiliation.
As a headline for the entertainment news website Deadline put it, hearkening back to Carano’s professional fighting past:
“This Really Is The Way! Gina Carano Piledrives Disney Over ‘Mandalorian’ Firing With Settlement & Job Offers.”
As usual with lawsuit settlements, the behind-the-scenes moves are likely to remain behind the scenes, but it’s a good chance that a procedural win by Carano in April set the stage.
A court ordered Disney, at Carano’s legal team’s request, to produce files documenting compensation to the stars of “The Mandalorian” and other “Star Wars” series. That might have proven how differently Carano was treated compared to fellow “The Mandalorian” star Pedro Pascal.
Whatever is in those files, Disney is keeping it out of the public eye.
But whatever was behind it, there’s no question that Carano scored a resounding, all-but-declared sweeping victory.
As most Americans know, the original “Star Wars” movie climaxed with the explosion of the Death Star, the most fearsome weapon of the evil Galactic Empire.
That didn’t mean the death of the empire — and Carano’s win over Disney doesn’t mean the death of the liberal fascism (in Jonah Goldberg’s memorable wording) that has a chokehold on Hollywood and so much of American culture.
