Supreme Court Blocks Trump’s Request to Freeze $2 Billion in USAID Payments, Drawing Criticism From Conservatives
Gloriel Howard, Resist the Mainstream, March 5, 2025
The U.S. Supreme Court dealt a significant blow to the Trump administration by refusing to overturn a lower court’s ruling that unfreezes nearly $2 billion in payments to contractors working with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
In a narrow 5-4 decision, the ruling has sparked renewed debate among conservatives, some of whom accuse certain justices of opposing President Donald Trump’s efforts to impose stricter controls on foreign aid spending. The case centers on the Trump administration’s freeze on USAID payments due to concerns about waste and fraud, with conservative justices strongly opposing the decision.
On Wednesday, the Supreme Court declined to block a lower court ruling requiring the release of funds to contractors, Fox News reports. These payments had been frozen as part of the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) broader audit of USAID payments, aimed at uncovering waste, fraud and abuse.
The Court’s decision did not set a timeline for the funds’ release but emphasized that further clarification was needed from the district court on how the government should meet its obligations under the temporary restraining order.

Elon Musk Reveals The Big-Name Democratic Donors Funding Attacks on Tesla Stores

Elon Musk has revealed the big-name Democrat donors behind the protests at Tesla stores.
Posting on the X platform that he owns, Musk said that he believes five groups are behind the protests, many of which have resorted to violence.
However, these groups are all funded by ActBlue, the troubled Democratic Party fundraising organization backed by liberal billionaire donors including George Soros and LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman.
Musk explained:
An investigation has found 5 ActBlue-funded groups responsible for Tesla “protests”: Troublemakers, Disruption Project, Rise & Resist, Indivisible Project and Democratic Socialists of America.
ActBlue funders include George Soros, Reid Hoffman, Herbert Sandler, Patricia Bauman, and Leah Hunt-Hendrix.
ActBlue is currently under investigation for allowing foreign and illegal donations in criminal violation of campaign finance regulations.
This week, 7 ActBlue senior officials resigned, including the associate general counsel.
The Tesla CEO asked followers to share any additional information with him in the post’s replies.
While peaceful protests outside the stores constitute a form of protected speech, many left-wing radicals have resorted to attacking the Tesla facilities and even putting people’s lives in danger.
Just this week, arsonists in Massachusetts set fire to Tesla charging stations in an incident police confirmed was almost certainly intentional.

Trump White House Denounces Federal Agency for Obstructing DOGE
Anthony Gonzalez, Resist the Mainstream, March 8, 2025

The White House has condemned officials at a federal agency for obstructing the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from entering its headquarters this week.
The administration accused these officials of defying President Donald Trump’s executive order to streamline the federal government.
On Wednesday, DOGE representatives, along with acting U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) head Peter Marocco, attempted to access the U.S. African Development Foundation (USADF) building.
However, they were denied entry after staff reportedly locked them out. This action was taken despite Trump’s directive to downsize the agency and implement cost-cutting measures.
The following day, DOGE personnel, backed by U.S. marshals, returned to the USADF offices after the Department of Justice (DOJ) determined they had legal authority to enter. In response, USADF President Ward Brehm filed a lawsuit seeking to prevent DOGE officials from taking control of the agency and blocking his removal.
Brehm acknowledged instructing employees to deny access to DOGE officials. His legal filing argues that the Trump administration is engaging in “unlawful overreach” and that he retains the right to his position.
However, the White House maintains that federal agency heads are subject to executive authority and cannot refuse to comply with presidential orders.
In a statement to Fox News Digital, White House deputy press secretary Anna Kelly defended DOGE’s actions, saying, “Entitled, rogue bureaucrats have no authority to defy executive orders by the President of the United States or physically bar his representatives from entering the agencies they run.”
