I was asked last week to look at the universal laws and, in response, I wrote two articles. The first article, “The Origin and Purpose of the Universal Law,” (1) looked at what role the universal laws play in life. The second, “Everywhere are Clues about Life,” (2) discussed how the natural processes and the manner in which our sacred books were written or taught provided clues to us about the purpose and design of life.
Next week’s An Hour with an Angel will feature a discussion with Sanat Kumara, who is the Planetary Logos or, as he phrases it, the keeper of the law. We’ll be asking him for his comments on the purpose of the universal laws and what I’d like to do here is prepare us for that discussion by looking at some matters here.
This discussion has a second purpose as well. When I had a personal reading with Archangel Michael, through Linda Dillon, on May 26, I asked him what he wished me to look at next in my writing. and he said that he wanted a discussion begun of what we wish to create for our planet as a result of the fall of the planetary controllers, the restoration of our sovereignty, and the approach of Ascension. If we’re to have that discussion, then it would be best to consider how the universal laws operate since they’ll be the mechanisms we draw on to create.
The question this series of articles answers is: what work do the universal laws do as mechanisms? I’m taking the hypothetical viewpoint that the purpose of life that the universal law serves as seen from God’s standpoint is for God to meet God.
Furthermore, I’m taking the hypothetical viewpoint that the purpose of life as seen from our standpoint is to know ourselves as God so that God can meet God. These two hypotheses arise out of lessons learned as a result of a vision I had on Feb. 13, 1987 and the research I subsequently did to amplify that wordless experience. (3)
If we test out these viewpoints to see if they help us explain the universal laws, what do we discover about them? I’ll be arguing that we discover that the role of the universal laws is to help us realize ourselves as God.
How might they do that?
To find out, we’ll look in this series at three universal laws: the law of free will, the law of karma, and the law of attraction. We’ll preface that discussion with a look at our soul contracts, which are agreements we reach with our guides and the Lords of Karma before being born as to what lessons we’ll focus on in this lifetime, a part of the overall journey from unconscious awareness of ourselves as God to conscious awareness. Our soul contracts determine most of the situations we’ll face and the people we’ll meet. Our guides may amend the plan at our request or in consultation with us.
No matter what situation or person is brought to us, by the law of free will, we retain the right and ability to choose how we’ll respond to it. If we did not, there would be no learning that would occur, only conditioning. We might as well be hard-wired if this is the desired outcome of life. What people and situations we meet may be predictable, but not how we’ll respond to them. Free will is what makes life unpredictable and what allows us to grow in wisdom.
The entire stock of people and situations we meet is determined overall mostly by the law of karma. By that law, everything we think, feel, and do is the cause of a further effect. Put in a more popular way, what we sow we reap. Sometimes we’ll be reaping what we’ve sown in past lives; sometimes we’ll be sowing what we’ll reap in future lives – if life were to continue in Third Dimensionality, which it’s destined not to do. But almost all of what we encounter in daily life is an effect of a cause sown earlier. By encountering our past causes and seeing how things worked out, at a soul level, we grow.
Other situations and people we meet may be determined by the operation of the law of attraction. By that law, how we think and feel, be or do acts like a magnet drawing to us either a likeness or a mirror opposite, depending on whether we love or fear. When we love, like attracts like, which sees that we attract what we love. And, when we fear, like attracts its mirror opposite, which sees that we attract what we fear. Energy itself is neutral, attracting both what we love and what we fear, for our learning.
I hope to start this discussion tomorrow, but I’d prefer to take the time I need to do the study right rather than rushing it. So I can’t guarantee that the first instalment will be done by then or that further instalments will follow daily.
