Is it necessary to “earn” our living? Actually not on any of the higher dimensions is that the case.
One doesn’t have to escape duality and go to the Fifth Dimension to see that. When we drop this body and go to the Fourth Dimension, although we remain in duality, there’s still no need to earn anything.
The requisite that people must “earn by the sweat of their brows” is one that this civilization of ours dreamed up.
The most dramatic story I know of to illustrate this point is the miser on the lower astral planes who spent his years on Earth counting his gold. When he arrived on the astral planes, well, he did the same. Except now he could create all the gold he wanted by just thinking about it. That increased his workload by an endless factor. Here’s that story as told by astral dweller Mike Swain:
“When I move down to our lower planes, I see people getting up to the most idiotic shenanigans. For example, I saw this one fellow surrounded by piles and piles of gold; he was literally buried under it! Yet he kept jealously counting every coin. He didn’t even pause to look up when I greeted him; he just grunted and kept on counting.
“I thought that this miser was nuts to sit there counting his money as if he could still buy wealth and importance with it. So I asked one of the elder brothers about him, because they are always approachable when we go to them with a problem that is perplexing us.
“The elder explained that on earth, this fellow had been an honest-to-goodness miser. Every night, when all his doors were locked and his curtains drawn, he used to haul out his gold and count it until he was cross-eyed with fatigue.
“When he passed over, he was still the same man he had been on earth, of course, so he got so homesick for the gold he had left behind that finally piles of it appeared all round him! Thought had become fact as it always does on this plane. Well, there the gold was; so he sat down to count it as he had never counted before!
“Then he discovered that just by thinking, he could turn it into twice the [amount] it was before. He must have been sitting there for over thirty years of earth time, just multiplying his wealth. And he’ll be perfectly happy doing just that – until he eventually realizes that gold is utterly useless to him here. We have no wealth or poverty here. And so it will finally dawn on him that he has been wasting his time. And no one will regret it more than the poor old fellow himself!” (1)
As theologian A.D. Mattson said of the astral plane, which applies to all planes above it as well: “Over here we can create [anything] we want. When we create things by the power of thought, using astral substance, actual materialization occurs. Whatever we create remains as objective reality as long as we wish it to.” (2.)
If there’s no free lunch on the astral planes, it’s because no one needs lunch – or breakfast, or dinner. There’s no need for food and very, very little need for sleep. All of these circumstances – fatigue, hunger, thirst, etc. – are almost entirely identified with the Third-Dimensional body. (3)
Part of the reason for NESARA (the prosperity program) is to free us up to pursue the higher spiritual practices and activities.
We’re freed up to serve the rest of the world that’s been impacted by poverty to allow them to prepare for and enjoy Ascension along with the rest of us. We’re also freed up to engage in the creative arts like music, writing, and painting. None of this would probably be possible if we had to live by the sweat of our brows.
We’ll continue to use money for a few years yet, but that’s because we’re used to it. Eventually there’ll be no need for money and no desire for it either. Eventually we’ll create all we need by thought.
