Light Stewards – Sisters and Brothers of Unity is a new group that has taken upon itself the role of providing suggestive guidance to lightworkers who wish to adopt high standards of integrity and the embodiment of Fifth-Dimensional qualities as we prepare ourselves for ever-expanding roles in the Golden Age.
Our goal is to generate and share documents which help us stay squeaky clean in our behavior, which in turn allows bliss to rise within us. We hope that these documents help us align with the new paradigm of the divine qualities which we think will make Ascension easier and smoother.
As we advance our global conversation and consider in advance how we’ll create Team Earth, another barrier to the success of this project or any project is to fail to see in advance that projects have phases. By identifying and knowing the stages of group development, we increase our patience with the group process, our confidence in engaging in it, and our ability to guide it to a successful conclusion.
These are the phases as we see them. Others will see them in other ways.
Honeymoon
The honeymoon phase is exactly like the honeymoon after a marriage. The team is delighted at having agreed to come together and sees only the strengths and the contributions that each of the team members looks likely to make. There is celebration and jubilation and an excitement to be up and doing. The road looks open and the sky’s the limit. All is toasting and fine speeches. And then the work begins.
Tug-of-War
Within a short or a long time time of taking the group’s first concerted action, disagreements begin to arise. Different people realize that they have different approaches and most people believe that their approach is right and wisest. Archangel Michael discussed this matter below. He says:
“When one is going through the process of realignment, of aligning with Source or One or with us of the archangelic or even the angelic realm, there is a tug of war that always happens with the ego, with the delightful personality, the push and pull that says that I want to do it my way. My way is the best. You do not understand. You are not here. You are not suffering here on Earth. You do not know what time frames look like.
“We [the Company of Heaven] go through this all the time. It is anticipated. It is expected. And it is part of the process of letting go and allowing yourself to come into that full alignment [described as the coalescence phase below] so that the choices, the actions, the connection is direct and with One.
“[In this phase] there is push and pull. … [In this phase] the personalities [can be] so eager to get it right, to go forward, to coalesce, that people can believe that they have the truth.” (1)
As a result, what can arise is defensiveness and protectionism, a lack of respect for variances. Archangel Michael recommends during this phase that there has need to be clear boundaries. When projects are building their sacred union, they exhibit free will and the Company of Heaven will not interfere with it. There has to be in this phase, respect, allowance, and flexibility because each individual “brings key components that builds understanding.”
The team may go back into the tug-of-war phase at any stage of a project. That doesn’t mean that the team then has to work its way up to the point of last attainment. The team can go back into the tug-of-war and then regain its position in concentration, momentum or flow as soon as agreement is reached.
Many teams die in the tug-of-war phase. They break down into negative sidebar discussions, engendering distrust and self-protection. They reject the contributions of others and attempt to win for themselves the decisive say. They drift further and further apart until there is no cohesiveness or unity left. And then they split up or go their own ways.
The bigger the project, the more likely is this outcome. The participants are left bruised and disillusioned and resist the thought of engaging in something as bold and beautiful again.
Coalescence
But a few make it through the tug-of-war phase. These projects are those whose members realize that forming alliances behind the scenes, sharing criticisms of team members rather than bringing their concerns directly to the person involved, and failing to respect the contributions of others won’t work and abandon them in favor of direct and frank communications, no sidebar alliances, and respect for the contributions of each.
The successful groups take the time to get to know or get the measure of each other and to find a way of communicating and resolving differences. Trust builds or, if breached, is re-established. The commitment is to having the project work rather than getting one’s own way. Finally a rhythm is established. Each conflict that arises is managed by negotiated ways, a new way being found for each new kind of conflict.
It isn’t a sign that things are amiss when projects go into a tug-of-war phase. Archangel Michael has said that it’s absolutely normal. But emerging from it is not as normal or usual. The use of “Perro” or neutral language is one tool we can use to navigate this phase.
We have the benefit of rising energies on the planet. We’ll soon be joined by the galactics, who have already solved many of the problems that we’ll be facing. And we’ll have the benefit too of celestials and ascended masters. We already know that we’re destined to survive this phase and achieve Ascension. But we’ll save ourselves a deal of grief if we know that the tug-of-war phase will likely come upon us and is just the first of many challenges we’ll meet as we create Team Earth and begin the terraforming and the restoration of the Earth.
Concentration
The team is no longer focusing on issues that divide them but has the time and energy for everyone, mostly as individuals at this point, to look at the best ways to proceed together. Best practices are isolated, written down and shared among the team. The steps involved in successful hand-off are also isolated, written down and shared. All begin running and mastering the steps of their own process. Agreement is reached on all matters of process and outcome.
Momentum
The various participants on the team have run through their own processes enough times that mistakes are no longer being made, processes are running smoothly and handoffs are occurring without a hitch with an acceptable standard of success is being attained. All have mastered their individual roles, have perfected hand-off procedures, and are playing their role in the overall process that allows the project to run at an ever-accelerating rate.
Flow
In the phase of flow, members work together in unity, problems that arise are addressed without conflict or long discussion, and all effort is bent on keeping the project moving forward smoothly, but without the need any longer for frequent liaising. Team members trust each other, are in synch with each other, in broad, general agreement, and are able to relinquish what doesn’t work and move to what does work.
Even if matters are busy, there is a sense of minimal effort needing to be expended to produce maximal results.
Conclusion
If the project has an end point, that end point is reached. It’s at this point that satisfaction is felt (“satisfaction comes when the job is done,” Werner Erhard). The team celebrates, debriefs, and shares what has been learned. The team may go its separate way or negotiate for another assignment.
