I feel the bliss arise and, as it does, I reflect on how many of us have a picture of how love and bliss work that simply doesn’t fit the picture.
I’d guess that perhaps nine out of ten people, deep down, really do still believe that we predominantly get love from without, from outside, from external sources, like our parents, our spouses, and our children for starters.
It isn’t that we don’t get it from the outside. The universe is bathing us with love and look at how we’re benefitting.
But the fact remains that the major source of love and bliss for each of us is our very own heart. I’m unwilling to go further without everyone who reads this getting it. Yes? Got it? Can’t tell me a month or two down the road that you didn’t get it and don’t feel bliss. It’s right there in your heart.
The heart is a direct line to the Mother’s Heart. Need more bliss? Just ask for it and then draw the bucket up from your own well. Yes, it may not result in a flood all at once. The first experimental sortees may bring only the smallest sip of bliss.
If you hear yourself saying that it can’t happen to you, well, aside from that thought not helping very much of anything (and adding a year or two onto our sentence), the delicious energies a cast of millions has gone to such trouble to bring to us are creating new opportunities. Levelling the playing field. Compensating for our own created lacks and false beliefs. Boosting us up.
I personally don’t believe we can fail if we but open the doors of our hearts.
But the matter goes further. Anyone who comes to this site must know by now what the purpose of life is: To know ourselves as God. That may rankle a few people to hear but it remains the purpose of life no matter who it rankles.
Who else could we be? If God is One without a second, were we not God, there would be a second. And that cannot be. No, God is as much us as that tree or this stone.
To know ourselves as God requires us to begin to fall into, explore, and work with our mechanisms – the design features of life – as they’re set up. And the most important mechanism is the heart.
If you saw a blank wall in front of you and all that was visible on it was a small cupboard door at chest height with the words marked on it “Everything you want is to be found here,” would you not open that door? I certainly would. That door is the heart.
The blank wall is everything else in existence. Everything else in existence is temporary, a passing phenomenon, something with a beginning and an end. But the heart is the one permanent, beginningless, endless connection to the very Source we’re looking for and who we were, are, and always will be.
I’m afraid I can no longer remember what caused me to ignore the heart for so long. Bliss won’t let me recall.
But the Company of Heaven will honor our infinite desire and freewill choice to meander. “Scenic detours,” the Mother calls them. (1)
In the final analysis, there’s nothing at stake here. At the absolute level (not at the relative), all that’s being played out is a game of hide and seek. But success at that game brings gifts so pleasing that none of us can resist playing the game at whatever level we do.
Buying everything we desire wearies us and sets us up for purchasing the one thing we really desire : God, the treasure buried in the field of the heart.
But going through the former phase of buying and enjoying all and sundry is probably unavoidable for many people. I’m sure everyone does it once in this life or in another.
And then the desire for God, which can only be lulled to sleep for a while, never extinguished, reasserts itself and away we go, seeking what lies hidden in the heart.
What did I come to do? Behind all the writing, organizing and managing, the real business of life always remains, as Archangel Michael made plain in one reading, about “the journey of faith, of love, of connection, of unity back to the Mother, back to the One. It is not about anything else.” (2)
The bliss increases in response to my writing that sentence, which is how I know it’s true. The truth will set us free from all unwanted conditions. And that truth lies hidden in the heart.

Did you wander and take some of those scenic by-ways, those detours that I have referred to this night? Yes. And that free will, with all the elements of what you think of as evil and darkness, drama, intrigue — you have excelled at this! And you are also very tired and sick of it, aren’t you?” (“The Divine Mother on the Divine Plan,” Nov. 11, 2015, at https://goldenageofgaia.com/2015/11/11/the-divine-mother-on-the-divine-plan/.)
