Happy Sunday, dear friends. I would like to send Mother’s Day greetings to all who are celebrating in the US. While some feel that Mother’s Day is a made up holiday, to push greeting card sales, I have chosen to focus gratitude on the two most important mothers in my life.
Our blessed mother Sophia-Gaia is the first, as she has given me every molecule of my incarnation, and provided every single thing to nourish and support it. There is not a single thing in my physical being that did not come from the love of our earth mother. Her generosity and beauty know no bounds, and I feel so blessed to have fostered a special relationship with her and all her devas, kingdoms and elementals. She welcomes us all into this world and helps us every step of the way.
Our blessed Divine Mother, in my estimation, is the creational force behind our soul’s incarnation into the physical. She nurtures and tends our souls with deep and unconditional love. We are all Her blessed children and she supports our divine sovereign free will path, even when we might not know what that path is.
I feel such deep gratitude for these two mothers who, together, support every single one of us with their devoted and unconditional love. Within the love of these two divine beings, I feel no ambivalence or judgement. I simply feel complete support and love, and I know that they adore me just the way I am.
What is wonderful, of course, is that no matter what our human life path has brought us, we all have access to the love of these two blessed mothers. This love is eternal, unconditional and feels absolutely marvelous.
Miley Cyrus is standing up for the homeless.
Say what you will about Miley Cyrus. It sure must have been difficult growing up in the spot light. While she has rebelled, as she has grown, so do most kids. They just don’t do it with millions of people watching.
Her heart is in the right place though. She is very moved by the plight of the homeless, and especially young people who are displaced or are runaways and those within the LGBT community.
Miley started a foundation called Happy Hippie to create awareness and support around the many challenges faced by young people trying to fit into society, and those who separate from it for various reasons. Using celebrity to raise awareness and support for beings who feel they lack a voice, as well as resources, is such a positive movement in the right direction.
In the Happy Hippie’s Manifesto, Miley states, “It is essential to our lives to do good for others! The only way we can truly be happy is if we are making others happy!”
I completely agree with her.
I hope more celebrities use their own resources and their fan base to create positive change on issues that aren’t being tackled by society at large.
This is the way forward to a world that works for everyone, and this is how Miley moves from celebrity status to that of true role model.
Since their country says they cannot ride bicycles, these girls choose the skater life.
Sometimes religious and cultural taboos seem to block the way forward for young girls. These barriers can seem insurmountable, but progress can often be made by going around the barriers instead of challenging them.
Skateistan is a program that unfolded in Afghanistan in 2007. When they entered the country, very few kids even knew what a skateboard was. They began teaching kids, including marginalized and underserved young girls, how to skateboard and the program took off.
While the program focuses on skateboarding as a way to hook kids into the program, their main focus is providing educational support to get them out of poverty and into school. Their skill in skateboarding empowers them to tackle the problem of limited or no education. They feel strong and able to surmount challenges.
I absolutely applaud Skateistan and the work they are doing with over 1,200 kids globally, of which 40% are girls. This program certainly swerves around many barriers to help create a world that works for everyone!
Sending a really big message to her dad in space.
I loved this picture, when I saw it for the first time on Facebook, and so I was happy to get the back story on it to share with you all.
We often hear that very few human creations can be seen from space. The Nazca Lines were quite possibly created to be viewed from space, and the Great Wall of China is also visible.
So, what do you do when you want to send a special message to your dad, who is an astronaut on the International Space Station? You get the help of 11 cars and a specialized GPS system that converts your handwritten note into driving coordinates, and you pick a giant salt flat as your canvas.
I am sure that Steph’s dad was very touched by her giant message! I adore when folks get creative in sharing the love.

And finally…
In honor of Mother’s Day.
Sharing two short videos for all the mom’s out there. The first is an act of kindness for a mom who supported the freedom seeking path of her son.
The second is a word association question for 50 women, aged 5 to 51, and their response to the word Mom. It is beautiful!
