I had a discussion with a lightworker through “Contact Us” and it occurs to me that others might have the same questions so allow me please to publish an edited/expanded version of that exchange.
A, let me answer your questions.
I believe your intentions are good, but there are things getting a little off track on the initial intention I believe…. I’m just a little scared to see how the page is constantly asking for money. Before a few dollars now $30.000. I understand that you want to use that money for the greatest good… But how do we know that you’re not the same type of people that is always wanting money?
Good questions, A.
We’ve mounted a two-week subscription campaign to provide a stable financial base for the blog to operate.
We’ve done that because one-time donations from readers were falling below a level where we as a team could remain together working full-time on the blog, InLight Universal and the Hope Chest. We felt we needed to do something.
$30,000 a month is the cost of running the blog and keeping the Golden Age of Gaia, Hope Chest and InLight Universal teams together.
Regarding how you know, if my articles to you over five years, battling the cabal, explaining Ascension and now building Nova Earth, don’t speak to my integrity, then perhaps there’s no way of establishing it.
I have seen nicer and more complex pages that don’t request money. If you know a bit you can create a free blog that looks pretty nice for not a lot of money.
I did create a free blog, five years ago, and look what it’s grown into. In fact I created several free blogs. All of them have led to this. “Complex page” sounds like a technical view of the blog. The blog is far more than just a complex page.
I guess thats what I would like to start seeing on the page is a money report page showing where the money is spent.
Some form of this may be possible and may be a good idea. Given that the Hope Chest has only one volunteer employee, Karen, it would be difficult for her to carry out her extensive responsibilities and take on a level of financial reporting that probably would overwhelm her.
If we had sufficient funds to hire someone, instead of asking for more and more work from a smaller and smaller circle of core volunteers, that would be instantly possible. But that awaits the Reval or another similar stream such as the prosperity packages.
Is it really for the poor or for your trips?
No, it isn’t for our “trips.” I told the Divine Mother on An Hour with an Angel this week that if she wanted Kathleen and I to go on tour, she’d have to come up with the wherewithal.
But why do you think of them as “trips”? As much as I loved meeting everyone, it still can be exhausting driving up and down the coast of a country to visit with lightworkers. I’m a homebody. If it weren’t for the fact that I’m serving the Divine Mother and Archangel Michael (who told us we’d be traveling soon) and that I travel with the ever-delightful Kathleen, nothing on Earth would induce me to drive that far, often eating food I’d never eat at home and sleeping in a strange place each night.
The money raised in the present subscription campaign is not for the poor, as we’ve made very plain, except if you consider people working full-time jobs for nothing as being among the poor.
This is just a suggestion so all the light workers can feel more comfortable working on the cause. Not everything is about faith… Somethings require facts to base a request. Maybe showing pictures of the people getting the money, or a section on the page for expenses and incomes. This is a suggestion for transparency. At the end that is only money and if you don’t really care about it like to give it to the poor, why can’t we know that as well? Just a thought, have a great day brothers and sisters.
We actually have from time to time posted the letters of Hope Chest recipients. We’ll be running Taka’s video description of how he benefited from the Hope Chest, which he sent to us unbidden.
But your suggestion would be more relevant if this campaign was about giving money to the poor. But it isn’t. It’s about securely funding the blog so the editors can turn their attention to their real work.
A, let me give you a little history please.
Most team members came on board around the end of 2011. We were told at that time that we’d create and be a financial outlet for pre-NESARA funds and so we created the infrastructure for that mission and waited. And waited. And waited.
Nothing arrived. In the meantime we shared; lived off our savings; then lived off our credit cards or lines of credit. No one here has any money any more to eke out a few more months or a year. Every one of us is completely broke or we wouldn’t be coming to the readers.
But we’re still being told that the Hope Chest is an outlet for large sums of money, this time coming from the Reval, the prosperity packages, historic bonds, etc.
So we struggle to stay together to put out the blog, serve lightworkers through InLight Universal, and provide that financial structure (the Hope Chest) through which abundance can flow … probably to people like you, as a matter of fact.
When you receive a large sum of money from the Hope Chest that comes from a flow of abundance, would you not be happy that the team managed to hold together to get that money to you? We are doing it for you, my friend.
You can see that the amount of money raised in the Subscription Campaign has not even left the bulb of the thermometer yet, which may mean that next month, I and several others won’t have enough to pay our rents and put food on the table.
Many of us have no other source of income than what the readers of the blog donate. Some, like myself, have a pension (or half-pension, in my case) but mine doesn’t even cover the cost of food and rent. Without reader’s help, I probably would have to get a job and stop writing for the blog.
But this is my job. And just like the monks of Thailand, we depend on donations to keep the blog operating.
Why not send us some suggestions for a viable way to ensure our continued existence? We’re not a small, free, complex blog run by one or two individuals in their spare time. We’re a well-functioning team of lightworkers capable of leading other lightworkers in the building of Nova Earth.
If it’s valuable to you to keep such a team of lightworkers together, then help us.
If it isn’t, then just stand by and watch the campaign be unsuccessful and we may vanish from the radar.
It’s as simple as that. I hope I answered your questions. Thanks for sharing. I may post an edited version of our exchange without identifying you so that others with the same questions can benefit from the exchange.
