Eyes to the skies, Comet Lovejoy is on the move! Fling open your heart and receive the energy in the air! Feel the anticipation, the excitement. . . not to mention the Love and the Joy!
This beautiful photo was imaged by Sean Walker and Sheldon Faworski just a few evenings ago, January 12th. Alan MacRobert at Sky and Telescope speaks to it’s lovely colour:
“. . . that lovely green color? Comet heads are usually like that. The green glow comes from molecules of diatomic carbon (C2) fluorescing in ultraviolet sunlight in the near-vacuum of space.
“By contrast, a comet’s ion tail (gas tail) — the narrow, often detail-filled part of the tail that points directly away from the Sun — is tinted blue. The ion tail’s color comes from fluorescing carbon monoxide ions (CO+).”
Lovejoy is passing near the Pleiades,
merging the energy of Joy
with the Pleiadian cosmic Love energy.
Drop from your head,
into your heart,
breathe,
feel the Love and the Joy!
Thank you Janine for alerting me to this beauty.
