Happy Friday, dear friends. Yesterday our weather turned frigid, as the “Polar Vortex” visited us again. It started to snow gently, as the temperatures plunged to the single digits.
I had to go out at night to pick my youngest daughter up from work, and the roads were slick with ice and snow. I always set intentions whenever I leave my space of love, for safe passage and protection, and so I did that and proceeded down the road.
I drove slowly and carefully, but some cars whipped past me at high speeds, and others drove at a snail’s pace. I could see some cars fish tailing slightly on the ice and started to get worried about it. I then took a deep breath and re-centered myself on my journey and not theirs.
I got to my destination safely and back home without a hitch. I realized a few things on the way, though. As we travel down this divine path, some folks will go at break-neck speed, bumping into the energy of others, along the way, and effecting their path. Others will travel exceedingly slow, allowing fear to control their behavior, holding them back from their destination.
Every single way of traveling the path is perfect, but every way is not perfect for each of us. When we follow our intuition and guidance, we will follow the path at the pace that is best for us. Usually that pace of travel is also the most comfortable. If we come to an uncomfortable part, generally, that is the part with the most growth potential. Very few roads are perfectly flat, and those that are, put drivers to sleep!
It also helps me to see that comparisons to others, in bad weather driving and on our spiritual journey, only make us more anxious. I couldn’t understand why someone would travel as fast as a bullet on snowy roads. Why would I understand the reasons behind their other choices on the path? Allow others their path, and simply walk your own at your perfect pace, and all will unfold according to the divine plan.
Today we focus on some mysterious occurrences in our world, and we move on from there.
Giant orb released from meteor-like object over Santa Barbara, CA.
This link was shared on the Golden Age of Gaia Yahoo group. The video shows amateur footage of an object streaking across the sky from right to left. As the object appears to burn up, a glowing orb is released from the brilliant trail and begins to travel in the opposite direction. It then shoots off at a much faster rate than the falling object.
Meteor reports for this time and location were made to the American Meteor Society. The society tracks all reports of atmospheric activity and groups similar reports together. While I tried to find a local news report on this occurrence from the last few days, there is nothing available. The story was written up, in the UK, by the Daily Mail, which summarizes that the event showed a meteor breaking up in the atmosphere. I very much agree with the video creator, and many of the comments, that this was a galactic object of some kind, ejecting from the falling debris. Very cool catch!

Mysterious beings climbing the slopes around a Mexican volcano.
This video is in Spanish, with English subtitles, and describes the experience of a volcano climbing expert. He shares stories of giant beings climbing the glacial pack at the top of the Popocatepetl volcano, in central Mexico. The peak is the second highest in all of Mexico, rising to about 5,500 meters.
There is grainy footage and photographs of these beings on the ridge, at a significant distance from the climbers. The beings transverse the difficult terrain in a matter of minutes. The same climb, would have taken humans a number of hours to accomplish. When the climbers reached the location, they noticed strange footprints, that indicated a large spike in the heel area of these beings. This spike, could be a morphological adaptation to make it easier for them to navigate the icy slopes.
A number of other sightings of giant beings, located at other volcanoes, are also mentioned. I believe there is much we have yet to discover about our world, and a vast amount of both land and sea we have yet to explore. Some believe these beings are extraterrestrial in nature, which is entirely possible, but they could also be terrestrial. They are simply existing in an environment, that has been previously restricted to humans by their technological limitations.

Moving on…
The unsung hero of the check out counter.
A young man walked into a grocery store to buy some mints, and the experience profoundly changed his life. He witnessed the cashier performing his duties with efficiency and care. Nothing really profound about that, until he shares that the cashier had no lower arms.
What follows is an outpouring of respect, love and a profound shift in perception regarding the challenges of life. We never know who will deliver our most important lessons in life, but every single one of us is given messages and experiences that can change us.
This experience, taught the author about the true meaning of heroes and stepping up to the challenge of life. It also gave him pause, to evaluate just how much grace and support already existed within his own life. It helped him reevaluate how he approached any challenge. I found myself revisiting several events in my life where I observed challenged individuals overcoming their challenges in remarkable fashion, and I want to honor their mark on my path to perseverance as well.

And finally…
Two cute animal videos…because we all love them!
Both of these videos are short, so I figure they add together to create one big smile! The first features a wild racoon playing on an outdoor swing. The second is an adorable interaction between a cat and a hedgehog. Who says cats can’t use tools? Enjoy!
