Nora (we don’t usually post last names) has a message for Rachel Maddow after the latter responded to the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure with sarcasm and putdown. Nora’s points are put in a balanced and coherent manner and we post that message here. Nora’s website is: www.chrysalishealing.org.
Dear Rachel,
I am a fan and I have loved and appreciated your bold, precise, educated and progressive voice in the mainstream media. I am writing because I was deeply disappointed and mystified by your coverage and editorial monologue on the Citizens Hearing on Disclosure.
When I found your segment on Youtube, I was thrilled and so excited to see that you were covering the hearing. I thought, yeah Rachel, she’s really bringing this into the mainstream. But it did not take long for me to figure out that you were going to take the tired approach of ridicule and humiliation that has kept this issue out of the mainstream since the 1940’s.
I am used to seeing a more humble Rachel Maddow interpreting matters that have deep meaning and import to humanity as a whole. What came from you was so different. It was a superior, arrogant Rush Limbaugh type attack on an effort to bring forward a matter that has enormous implications on the health and freedom of humanity and planet Earth as a whole. It was clear by what you had said that you were totally uninformed by the content of the hearings.
You insulted the Congressional participants by minimizing their contributions by saying that they were retired. You referred to the meeting as a fake. Did you know that there are witnesses who are risking their lives to share and bring forward their witness accounts before they die of old age. People have died coming forward with this information. Your approach was no better than what bullies do.
All of the witnesses, whatever their age, are reliable, credible military and journalist and investigative brave souls. Scientists who are courageously going out on a limb and absorbing attacks on their character and competency to share their evidence based interpretations of what they have found. You insulted the validity of the topic and their very real human efforts.
That is certainly your prerogative, but I took your ability to be open-minded with uncomfortable topics for granted. I assumed from your history that you might be willing to open to a fringe group. I was wrong about you.
I encourage you to listen to the hearings. They are profound and powerful meetings, collaborations and brain storming sessions on how to move forward with an area that has implications for global power structures, history, clean energy, science, space travel and explorations, religion and spirituality; our very advancement as a species and a planet as a whole.
I feel that as a powerful figure in the mainstream media, you have a responsibility to know about what it is your are editorializing. You have the power to bring issues to the fore or continue to suppress, marginalize and tamp-down what you and MSNBC see fit. This is a matter that has the power to change the world.
If you do not agree, consider this, this is a first amendment issue. Shouldn’t people who are experiencing interaction with unexplained phenomenon backed with scientific evidence have the right to be heard without prejudice? You don’t have to agree with them; just let them have their right to be heard.
Thank you.
Nora
